What is the nonesense, Fish? Point that out, dude. Ohhh you've been trolling(you guys like that word) on computer sites for over four years. Wow, you must be proud. You're another of them , "I've been here longer so I'm more important" types. And I've seen dudes on here before you, so not quite since the beginning, huh. And you know what Fish, you love that "nonesense." I know you won't admit it, but I know you do. You take it easy Super Fish.
Over sites? This is the only surf website that I am a member of. Well I am happy that I am not numero uno. Oh and nonsense is defined as "Words or signs having no intelligible meaning". Any other questions Bill?
Sucks that someone died. I still get sketched out sometimes Hell I did this morning during the tide change.
I went surfing this morning at sunlight and as soon as i got out to the lineup and put my feet down, i hit a fish with my foot. good start to the session haha
Shark attack in South Africa, dave lilienfeld bodyboarding champ dead... http://msn.foxsports.com/other/story/great-white-shark-kills-champion-bodyboarder-042012
Yeah a couple........"over sites" where'd that come from? I didn't ask for a Webster's definition of the word "nonesense." I asked you to point out all this nonesense of mine. Listen guys, if you are going to make allegations......be able to show proof and back that shat up. When I got my last ban you started chiming in with the handful of tards who just don't get it. So if you have problems with my "nonesense" why did you send me a SWELLINFO friiendship request? Why did you say that I should start my own blog(vlog) insinuating that I entertain you? Why do you look at my profile page multiple times a day? You know that box that lists your last ten visitors, well you are on mine everyday, Fish. Why? And usually, there's a + behind your name.
saw that... so pathetic they were chumming to get footage during an event. Heads should roll. People are the problem. very sad.
If the producers of that show knew that guys were surfing in the local area, and they were chumming for a shark show they most certainly should have said something. Would you paddle out if you knew they were chumming off or around your local spot?. Playing the odds with your own life is one thing.
Chumming in South Africa is totally irresponsible. South Africa, along with Central/Northern California(depending on your California border lines), are white shark central, and both heavy with recreational ocean users. Complete selfish, irresponsiblity............... And Super Fish, I'm glad you make light of a sponger's death at the jaws of a white shark. It is spring - shark season for the VB/OBX area.......I hope the bull shark gets you.....or maybe a lesser frequent, but definately possible, tiger shark. Go get em boys.......... I know they are out there. I used to live just south of you in Corolla, NC. I had most of my shark encounters there. From jumping spinners to being bumped and lifted out of the water by an unseen monster...... The water was unusually murky for NC .......ok, it looked like Jersey Brown water......It sucked and just switched from offshore to south. I was stoned, just got of my night shift job and got off my board and was just floating vertically, conptemplating life......then BOOM something large hit me and lifted me halfway out of the water. HOLY SHOOT, I have never felt such an adrenaline rush in my life. If I could bottle that feeling I'd be Pablo Escobar. It happened so fast that the adrenaline kicks in before your brain can even process what is happening. I paddled frantically to shore......and then proceeded to check my body for any missing or damaged sections.......Nothing...... I scanned the ocean for any signs, but saw nothing. H O L Y S H O O T .........not even being shot at could compare to that feeling. Oh, and the Bull shark that ruined one of the best sessions I ever had .....and in Corolla no doubt..............F U..... Dudes, a weak low was spinning SE of Hatteras June 2000 or 2001. It was sending a weak 1-3 foot groundswell all week.....winds were SW, light/dead, and it was one of those, "AHHH if it was only two feet bigger" things. On Thursday the Weather Channel said that the low in question was going to intensify(back when they actually focused on that stuff) and intensify it did. That Saturday I went into town to grab breakfast at Henry's. I checked it afterwards and ....BOOM, it was 3-5 foot. Yee haw......But I was hung-over and decided to just see what Corolla was like. Holy shoot, it was like an Indo reef broken into a beach break. The SW winds and the weak, longer period swell of the past week had the the OBX doing it's best Carribean water color impersonation. I've never seen water that clear and sky blue. The waves were 3-5 and just the most rippable things ever. Paper-thin-Indo-like lips.......barrels.......ramps..........When you smashed the lip it rocketed you out on the flats like God intended.......It was the most rippable day I'd ever seen. Well, an hour in..........the tourists swimming started saying(it was mellow not screaming) "SHARK".........As time went by, more and more of them got out of the water. But that's how good it was - I didn't care. So, I'm sitting in the line-up.......and I start to see wakes coming at me..........and just to my left a 6 foot bull shark cruises right by me. FARK !!!! Yeah, I was nervous and scared...........Caught one in and had that panicked feeling until I got on terra firma......But after I was ashore.......I was pissed. That SOB ruined some of the funnest waves ever.......and it was in COROLLA !!!!! GOSH DARN IT MAN !!!!!
yo man this is sad about that shark attack. Surfin in california i used to be a little sketched out about sharks but then i realized that its just a risk yall gota take every time yall go into the ocean. oh and dudes whats with all this hatin on SouthjettyBill?!! This dude is a legend ight?! brothas im out fo now so yall kep it real and stop all dis hatin, ya feel me?
H20, I always get sketched out in your neck of the woods this time of year. I guess when you're local, you get used to it. I know my nephews down there get a laugh watching me in the lineup with my head on a swivel.
First, I am sorry to hear about this tragedy in SA. The wild thing about this particular attack is that his brother said the shark lunged for him twice, the returned for the fatal bite of his leg. Or maybe the shark didn't figure out that he wasn't his usual prey until he bit his leg. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends!
http://wtvr.com/2012/06/03/graphic-shark-attack-at-myrtle-beach/ Someone saw him walking out of the water with the shark attached to his foot.
I would assume it's the typical 3-5' sandbar shark. Must have been a freak thing to actually get his foot straight in the shark's mouth like that. Seeing that witnesses say the shark was still latched to him when he was trying to get out of the water makes me think the shark was almost as stunned and surprised about the incident as the guy was.
well, that lookslike it would hurt, a lot more than some burnt blistered feet, which were miraculously cured after i went surfing Sat. am...good 'ole salt water, works like a charm!
With their weirder migration patterns, it has been something common to catch a lot of sharks on the side where a lot of newer surfers frequent, for some weird reason, actually. And though there are the usual shark patrol roaming around, you just could not take your chances with them and go with something that would assure you of a living life after what has been done and dealt with.
