Cams look pretty choppy man. Hope you got some. Atleast in la its a bit shorter drive to Florida. I've been meaning to try Galveston some day when further south is too scary for me.

Lake Charles LONG drive to FL.

left LC 330, was surfing by 7am-9am, back in LC for lunch.

Day off, still can get things done.

It was surfable, even for me.
Im still learning, so wave count is crutial.

Not easy to spot in Galveston
    'washing machine' Ha!

I had a lot of fun too! Not near as choppy as it usually is. Got there late though. Ready for a hurricane!

oldenglish, the further south you go in Texas the better it gets. port a, port Mansfield, south padre, winter time at Boca chica can be amazing.

Yeah. I went out to spi yesterday morning surfed some nice 2-3ft clean stuff. Wind was even up to around 15 and it wasn't chopping it up too bad. Had a blast, only 6 or so people in the water till 11. I'll be heading out there again tomorrow morning. funny some of the local guys were complaining about the size and conditions, try driving 3 hours to surf wind blown chop.

I keep saying Im going to head further west... just tough to justify the time and $ on a chance that itll be one foot more of choppy washing machine!
