How's the water feeling this week for you guys who have been out? Looking to come up to OC this weekend, and I know it was cold when Bertha came through, and it was pretty frigid the week before Bertha last time I was out.

southerly currents continue - bad for water temps.

We went out in Avalon on Monday and I thought it was the middle of winter. I could not believe how frigin cold it was. I got pins and needles in my feet and after the fourth duck dive I got a icecream headache. I cant remeber it ever being that cold in the middle of July. I hope it warms up sometime this summer.

61 degrees this morning. Waves have been good for July but the water has been cold a lot.

Been trunkin it since the first week of june and havent looked back. Guess I'm just warm blooded. I had my boy mike tell me he couldn't take the cold water so he was leaving. I pointed out at the head high glass pearling in and said "your really gunna turn your back on that?" I jumped back in and snagged waves til I couldn't see anymore. My only cold related problem was a calf cramp that I remedied with a bottle of water. Hydrate or Die.

madd props to you.. i was able to bare back it till a week ago when the water just got real cold and had no choice but to bring it out. I mean I can always last at least 45 min but its not that fun when u start to cramp up and try to paddle and get up tho lol...
