So here is my rant: Pulled into the parking lot at a spot in central long island clean 2-3ft+ water temps 70+ air temps 90+ and people with 3/2s everywhere about half the people out there in boardies. Almost as funny as the time I surfed so cal and the jacked 20y/o guy wearing 4/3 boots and gloves looked at me (16 y/o) like I was crazy for wearing a 3/2 in 59 degree water. Its funny to watch people wear 3/2s and sweat in there suits while tons of 5y/o kids stay in the water swimming for hours without the slightest chill. these people need help... they wear the same 3/2s in the blazing summer as they do in the chilly fall. For all of you people who will say "it prevents rashes", "I like wearing it" wanna know something it wont prevent?...... the heat stroke you gonna get for wearing it.... what has this world come to? spring suits in hawaii??!?! Lol. I live by one motto for wetsuits IDC if the water is 60 degrees if its blazing out im not wearing anything more then a spring suit. I get cold very easily and when I jumped in the water today it felt like a bath tub. What is really sad is some of these people in 3/2s were actually better than average surfers -__- what do you guys think? O and BTW my spelling is bad because i just typed this thing in like 20 seconds and its not worth my time of day to make correct punctuation about this specific thread. lol
Sounds like we were surfing the same spot today, tons of dudes in suits and the other half (including myself) in board shorts. Every few minutes a handful would jump out and switch into their board shorts but still.. perfect weather and water temps
@DawnPatrolSUP Well thank you good sir. Sorry I don't like people sitting about 10 yards out of the lineup having instant priority while even the loggers get run over sitting on the outside with there 10 footers....... I'm not here to start arguments with anyone. I was just ranting about softies who wear 3/2s in july while you came in here trolling. look at it from a surfers perspective SUPS are easy to catch anything with. Today people were waiting forever for a decent fun set to arrive.. and right when the chest high sets come and SUP comes out of nowhere and just starts running people over....... the only time people like SUPS is if you SUP. Im not here to start sh*t I just want you to understand where I am coming from.
In Rehobeth beach, if your not wearing a banana hammock in water over 70 degrees then your not cool. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Wow someone is mad that I just proved him wrong. I have you a legit reason why I don't like SUPS and I had supporting facts to back it up..... I don't think there is one person on this website that will say they don't mind having SUPS out in the lineup easily taking waves before you even have a chance to paddle your a** off to try and catch something. Your very immature good sir. The fact is: it is very easy to catch waves on an SUP compared to other boards.... and you also get instant priority. Im not sterotyping but many SUPers wae hog and run people over. some are nice and polite but its still not something any surfer who works his/her a** off to try and paddle into a wave with a shortboard or longboard. I have never seen an SUPer sit in the same lineup everyone else is in... they always insist in sitting (i mean standing lol) 10+ yards outside giving no one a chance to catch anything there going for.... now how does it feel to get completely pwnd by a teenager who has to deal with a SUP infested lineups daily. I got taught by relative how to surf at a young age they taught me proper edtc. and SUP does not apply to that. You probably picked up surfing watching blue crush in your moms basement or something you hermit. now next time don't mess with someone who can own you with facts insted of just saying cry baby LOL.
Good comeback.... you mad bro? Im sitting here chilling all summer.. got a trip lined up for august while your probably stuck in some cubicle in some office wishing you were surfing lol. I must stink to be you. hey you should hit some knee high bombs after work bro heard its firing over there got to bring out the SUPS and start claiming everything. man do I love being in high school or what off for 3 months. Have fun working a 9-5 everyday.
Don't worry youngster, you'll grow up someday and have to work for a living, unless you're planning on leeching off of mommy and daddy for the rest of your life. Then you'll have to deal with some punk teenager telling you how you're stuck in a cubicle instead of surfing.
Well said. I am one year out of college and am in "some office" (not cubicle) 50 hours a week. Fortunately, I am renting a beach front house and surf as soon as I get home. Work, pay bills and surf. Learn it because you (LILefts) will be living it one day.
I said that because he instigated me into an argument... cool story bro is the biggest troll phrase out there. I proved him wrong about the SUP argument which you can see for yourself.... FYI I dont mooch off of "mommy and daddy" I actually bust my a** 3 days a week mowing lawns to pay for my surfing and skating addiction. This SUP dude comes in here acting like hes some internet badazz saying cool story bro. What your saying right now is completely ireliv. to the argument. Any comment about the SUP argument or can you just not say anything about that? while im a teenager I can rip on adults for working 9-5s because he obvs. had nothing better to do than come in here trolling in the first comment of the thread... the reason I brought up the 9-5 is because this guy needs to get out of his cubicle and stop trolling people because he is to bored/lazy to actually do work. So now were even more off topic than the off topic argument. this dude was trying to start sh*t from the first comment or sarcasm just go to page one.
