What is the best airport to fly into to go to Tamarindo. Is transportion from airport to hotels easily accessible.
tamarindoshuttles.com I believe is what many prepay and use but you can get to the airport and find transportation with no problem
rw76 I have a nice condo for rent in town Tamarindo if you are interested. Definitely fly in to Liberia. There are tons of cabbies out side of the terminal who you could take a cab ride from airport to Tamrindo. It take approx 45minutes to 1 hour. The cost is usually in the $80 range for the trip. If you are staying at a hotel in town, The font desk can uually set up the cab or your trip from airport to town. check with them. If interested in my condo. Let me know. Rates range from $350-$650 per week. depending on the week during the year. Right now the surf is fantastic based on the reports. enjoy
If you're trying to rent a condo (or sell swampland in Florida) you may want to change your username to something that doesn't include the word "shady"... just sayin' Cheers!
Meatloaf, If you could let me know your dates you are interested. I can let you know the availability. As of right now it is fairly open. I am planning on going down around Christmas this year again. However, most weeks are open. Thanks for your interest
Thanks for the info. I would love to rent the condo but Im going with the wife and she wanted to stay in an all inclusive place
rw76 If all inclusive is what you are looking for then try the Diria Hotel in Tamarindo. It is as all inclusive as you can get in town Tamarindo. The breakfst buffet every morning is fantastic. It comes with the htoel room cost. Howeer, you have to buy your lunch and dinner and drinks. They can also set you up with pre arranged airport transfers. http://www.tamarindodiria.com/en/ You are ocean front and the breaks are just a few steps away. I have stayed there twice with my wife, prior to buying the condo. Have fun
There is a drug war in Tamarindo going on between the Italians and the Columbians. Be street smart, watch yourself at night and don't go on Tamarindos beach at night. The waves in Tamarindo suck. Go a little north or a little south for better waves. Like most people in that area, I would only go to Tamarindo if I needed something (equipment,food,ect..).
