Anyone surfed Indian River recently? I looked at it in July and it was not breaking like it used to in years past. With south winds projected for Leslie, IRI should be a good option, but I'm not sure that wave is breaking this year...

The best way to find out is to go there in person.

Yes its good when there is good size. I have a house in Bethany and basically look at it every weekend. Either going to surf there this weekend or drive up to the naval jetty, or OC of course

I live in Bethany. South side has been ok for the summer, just depends on the day. A lot of short close outs. North side never breaks anymore like it use to. On any given day, you could go north side and spend the day on the log and catch waves all day! Now, your lucky to get a wave break 10 feet off the beach unless there is a big swell......

I didn't get to go any recently, hopefully will be able to catch a break one day after work while there is a little swell left. Someone said it has been good the last few days....we have found a couple spots down in South Bethany, but again depending on the day it is normally a beach break.....

IR inlet sucks. You should go south, like WAYYYY south to catch some waves. It's never good there

Until reading this I thought there might be a real problem there.
