DP was real fun. Spots that have been dormant since spring have come back to life with the strong south wind/swell.

Gotta love those south wind swells, it looks like there are a lot of open waves out there.

agreed- dawn patrol sess was fun! but the tide got on it quick plus it seemed like the wind was about to switch. I would say that the 3-4ft green forecast was spot on! plus the sand bars where working again!!!

yea today's forecast was spot on for sure. got a few goods ones this morning and the bars were really working with the extreme south angle on the swell.

go check the cams. tide is dropping as we speak and it should be fun this afternoon as long as the wind doesn't blow it to rags.

Yes, DP was fun in Monmouth County today. It was working good with the south swell and the sandbars at most places. Waves were just peeling down the beach. I'll take this south windswell over the leslie easterly swell closeouts. Had a lot of fun this morning with a group of guys until two guys paddle out next to a group of us. He had a friend with him that wasn't from the area. I waited my turn in the lineup and had the peak. This visitor says this wave is mine in broken english. I told him it was mine but he snaked me. I pulled his leash and he ate it. I told him to go home and come back when you learn how a lineup works. He didn't seem to understand me. Then, his friend came over and said there were plenty of waves to go around to control the situation.

Other people in the water agreed with me but it kinda ruined the end my session. In a strange way I felt bad for killing the vibe for everyone else. I've just had enough with people who think they can drop in on any wave especially when they didn't wait in the lineup. The last two swells before today got on my last nerve with all the kooks in the water. That's why I snapped today. I'm a local in the town and when I travel to other places I respect the lineup and the people there. Did I overreact?

You didn't kill the vibe he did. It's a messed up world where people are afraid to put someone in their place for fear of shattering the glass house of eutopia built by political correctness and liberalism.

I see your point. I think he was ruining the session for everyone. If I didn't do something, he probably would have pulled that crap all day long.

Just got out from an "extended" lunch time surf. Still fun, some long peelers all the way to the beach. Still pretty deep considering the tide is on its way out. Great September day though, wish they were all like this.
