    Trials on today. Just for quick reference for the lazies--France is 6 hours ahead of EST and 9 hours ahead of PST.

    They will probably run the first rounds of the event tomorrow then lay-day until sometime next week as the forecast looks at the moment.

    thanks for posting the contests on here. sometimes forget that they are on and i pull up swellinfo and see this and all of a sudden my work day is a little better.

    Thanks folks. I love me some pro surfing, trying to spread the stoke.


    BTW, those on Fantasy Surfer need to lock your teams in today I would imagine. Rumor still holding they will run the first round tomorrow and it will start in the wee hours of the am on the East Coast, so trading for your team will be locked up before you wake up.

    How exactly is the scoring done in professional competitions? Do the rules/scoring change depending up the locations?

    anyone else having major problems with this webcast??? constantly freezes up. tried it on both the computer and the iphone and the same damn thing. quiksilver webcast sucks.

    They have 3 criteria: Speed, Power and Flow
    The score is the best two waves added together.

    Scale, now that's a different story. They do adjust their scale for each event and even as the conditions change from heat to heat, not to mention they weigh certain maneuvers differently depending on the conditions. Right now, it seems they really want to see some critical barrels right now in France

    Go back to heat review and watch Jeremy Flores' heat and then his interview afterward. He gets beat down. Also watch ADS vs Knox, ADS was stuck in a rip without a board for 5 minutes.
