As excited as I am for the possibility of swell, this track is no good...could potentially ruin a lot of breaks in the mid-atlantic. Be careful, use your brains...if your inexperienced, stay out of the water! Hopefully, there will be a clean-up and the winds won't be too strong, but as of now, 40 mph offshore winds is going to be pretty tricky to get slotted in.

i think we will be good down here in vb, the models keep taking it further north. we will probably get around 4 inches of rain and some gusty winds but i think that will be it. it really depends on these heavy rain bands and if they stay stationary.

i wish you the best of luck jersey through nyc. that beach erosion will be massive. My buddy in OCNJ says the north end is already effed and will be double effed after this storm. you can see some erosion already taking place on the croatan cam. hopefully it sets up some epic bars.

Close to Victory at Sea in WB. Went down to the South End to check it. The Inlet point has some chest-high screamers breaking occasionally. The outer bar at Mase is breaking, two kite boarders on it and looks to be about 12'. The cam looks way better than it actually is.

my cousin lives in cocoa beach she showed me some videos at the beach.just windy as hell and some chop on the seas.i just checked the satelite outlook n it looks like it downgraded to a ts.well my cuz n pregnant neice are doin ok n theyr feelin the brunt of it right now.i live in jersey n it looks like monday through wednesday will be inland.im just questioning when will be the best period to go to the beach.my wettie got stolen a few weeks ago so i wont be surfin but il be taken flix.it doesnt look like the storm will stay offshore n give us a good period of offshore winds n swell.id like to head to the beach sunday evening if its possible.looks like its going to clean up wednesday, thursday, but im lookin for a minimum 8-10ft surf to shoot.at the beach we're lookin at some erosion and a little flooding.thanks to the continental shelf we wont be flooded out completely

Still pretty nasty here at Ponce. Too much north in it. Still looking good for tomorrow and Monday with more westerly winds. All you northerners stay safe!

Holden was amazing yesterday afternoon and this morning. Wind went a bit psycho around noon today, but it's been solid, consistent, clean 5-8', 200-300 yard lefts — point break style. Some bomb sets up the point easily pushing 10'. Reminded me of Earl. Just about surfed out, and we've still got 3 days of solid surf left from Sandy. Glad the tropical season finally showed up...

Some pictures would be great as well.I can't imagine what this is going to do to our boardwalks and how much wood will be floating out there.

Doesn't look to good for LI either if there is any kind of N to Neast wind it will becoming at the largest point of the swell. Don't think it's worth the trip. Closer we get we will know. Folly beach looks real good too wish I was down there :(
