****ing cops Nazis preventing any access to dune road long island. everything is blocked w asshole cops saying the beach us closed. Beach is never closed!

 

I'm pretty new to the game, a little over a year, can you super (or anyone) give me a little insight into the long term effects storms like this have on our beaches/breaks? I know they can wipe out sandbars and stuff, but do they build others? How long does it take for things to get back to "normal"? Thanks guys, stay safe.

Anybody in Ocean Grove right now? How bad do you think it will get?

My aunt (who has no internet or TV) and her cats (who also have no internet or TV) are hunkering down on the corner of beach ave and spray ave.

I'm thinking of heading over to evict her.

 

Reports from Delaware is that all of the inland bays are flooding... And its very bad in a lot of areas.
So, to our neighbors to the north, move to safer ground if your in a flood prone area as storm surge is great and its moving your way.

 

CNJ is going to be in that right NE quadrant. Worst case scenario unfolding for the Jersey Shore here and the Raritan, NYC area. LI Sound and the Atlantic Ocean will be pouring in with nowhere to go other than your properties. Can't rule out a tornado either with this landfall.

Stay safe. Did not think we would still have power at this point. I give it till 2 to 3pm the latest? Check on the elderly, and beware of tall trees that will be no match for 90mph gusts.
