Sandy all inclusive thread

At Topsail yesterday south side of Surf City pier guys were gettign full stand up barrels and faces were 4-5 feet overhead on the takeoff!

 

Picture from my aunt f.b. long beach island, nj. Location murphys supermarket toward south end of island. Also to give an idaea of how wide the island is. It about five blocks wide. This road is three blocks from the ocean and two from the sound.

 

Thats exactly what I've been saying as well.

Early yet, but looks like Croatan wants to clean up. Still an offshore gale though. Froze my arse off just walking around.

 

Yep, not bad at all, minimal closeouts...I got smacked once or twice out of about 20 or so

 

Same in EI/AB. Very makeable lefts with OH+ barrel conditions Sunday. I took a few good wipeouts and lost my board once, but I got at least 20 real good waves. A few guys on sponges were getting 400+ yard rides getting barreled most of the way.

pier at 15th here in VB was clean but nothing was makeable without the aid of a ski. Wyldelyfe crew was out towing but they were still having a tough time. couple guys paddled out but were just getting blown off the face. gonna check in another couple hours
size was probably 6-10ft. some of the rights were incredible but you just physically make the paddle because of the wind unless you put yourself right in the lip. some guy got pitched of the top of a bomb just blown up on in the inside.

plenty of makeable ones in WB. the crowds were thick with people, but most werent taking off on the good set waves. id say they were 1-2 ft OH with hollow barrels and moderate offshores. the drift wasnt as bad as it was the day before in holden. im glad i was there, i got many barrels that i wont soon forget

Holy sweet Jesus! MSW was calling for 24ft waves in parts of NJ, but I didn't believe it.
