I was in Avon today and first couldn't believe what it did to the boardwalk. I'll try to post pics when we get power,2nd The amount of wood out there will keep me out of the water for awhile.Agree with the toxic soup comment.

i live near the mantoloking bridge in brick. virtually everything beyond it is gone, save for a few houses. in terms of marinas, ours was far back near the reeds in the metedeconk, and half the boats are missing. there was a fire near brick beach 3 as well. looks like i wont be able to get to my surf spots for a while

In laws are safe which is the most important thing. We're preparing for the worst. Hope everyone stays safe. Be careful of the debris out there!!

Those waves were ridiculous, I couldn't believe how deep some of those guys were getting. Definitely wave of year contestants.... On a side note did anyone see the sole photo of NJ surf (AC). It took me a while to figure out what angle that was being shot from.

Hello everyone a little howdy do. As I sit here listening to the rattle and hum of my generator, I decided to sign up and share this before and after video taken at the Sandy Hook entrance. Thanks for the info and the images.

Bittersweet is the flavor of candy I will remember from this Halloween 2012. There is no Forward..only Fearward..Into the challenge of this storms clean up. Push forward through fear and hardship. This example is givin by those who give help without asking and those who persevere when the odds are against them. Look out for each other up there. I cant think of anything that America does better than pulling together when pushed down. Give if you can.

Here's a link with pics of Bay Head and Mantoloking that a guy took from his surfboard! I could make out the hotel where my husband and I had held our wedding reception. We were married at Harris Street on the beach (it was after a tropical storm, Sept. 7, 2008 and Surfer magazine called it the best East Coast surf day of the year!) We're hoping his family house is still standing.

Well I kayaked around and the wind isn't bad, swells gone, but the sea has a lot of crap floating around. We need another storm (not tropical) to fix this.
