I typically surf VA beach but this Thursday im gunna check out the eastern shore. Can anyone point me in the right direction in Chincoteague?
Way old post to reply to I know, but I did some tech work on that island. From Virginia beach head north on the Chesapeake bay bridge and tunnel or highway 13 until you reach highway 175. Head east on 175, and it will take you right to the island. Hope you already checked out this killer summer island. Go in the winter when the entire island is asleep and there are no tourists. Not to mention gnarly winter storm swells.
Sorry one last tip. Take you time and stop at some of the little spots on the way. There are ten different barrier islands between Va and Chincoteague. I was pining to get in the water while I was there, but alas the work schedule was a real grind.
