whats going on everybody. im doing this marketing project and basically tweeking vans shoes marketing plans ect. I chose to play around with their products and places they sell, advertise, ect. My two product ideas are vans golf shoes and vans booties. For the golf shoes i thought they coud make a golf shoe with their classic styling and cheap prices. I feel as though many of us surfers also love to golf and i would def buy a pair of cheap vans golf shoes. What do you guys think? Also i though they could make dope booties since they have a great sense of style and the vans company was originally a rubber company so they have some knowledge on how to work with rubber already. I was thinking doing something wild with the design, crazy prints such as army or digital print, some crazy colors or something. My thought behind that is everybody wants a little style but they dont want too much going on ya know, like do less at the same time. WIth eccentric booty styling you still are sporting the classic black wetsuit design but add a small amount of flare with booty colors and patterns. Any feedback would be great.

sorry about the long post by the way, hope everybodys scoring some waves
my bad also any up and coming surf or skate countries where you think vans would benefit in opening stores or marketing. thanks a lot
I have always had at least one pair of Vans in my shoe rotation. However, you will never, ever, ever ever ever catch me on a golf course... Vans or no vans. Still think it's a pretty cool concept. As for other countries... why don't you propose Vans pull a Henry Ford and pay their sweatshop child labor enough money to afford the shoes they are making. They would have instant customer base in those countries!
Bad timing dude, 70% of the people on this site are in the northeast where alot of people are still recovering from the storm. Take your golf shoes and stick them up your assz...
dear sniffer, thanks for your help. You dont have to tell me the northeast is f-ed, i already know that due to the fact i live there. Honestly if you dont have comments to help me out dont waste either of our time by posting **** like this. keep spreading the love man
I don't see the problem, not everybody on here is from NY / NJ. If the guy wants post some random crap on a forum it hurts nobody. So is everybody in the world suppose to stop what they are doing and wait till things in NY / NJ get cleaned up to start posting on the internet? That's crazy, and those who are supposedly from the disaster areas that keep saying things like that on here are hypocrits, obviously things aren't so bad for them at the moment, or else they'd be doing something else other than spending time on blog sites, like maybe cleaning up or helping someone in need, right? I know if my home just got thrashed this site would be the last place in the world i'd be worried about, or better yet, worrying about what someone else is saying on an open forum on the internet.
za***ger the only helpful thing you told me is that the ideas are stupid? itd actually be helful if you said why. other than that you and sniffer reminded me exactly why it took me three years to make a profile for this website and 2 years to accumalate 10 posts... because so many of you post talking **** and get the threads off topic. if your not gonna help dont, i dont give a f..u..c..k, just refrain from answering (also **** whiskey im currently drinkin some Busch, the new cans are dope)
All I ways giving was my honest opinion of your poll. Unfortunately, "Stick Your Golf Shoes Up Your Azz" was not available so I improvised....relax dude you just rubbed me the wrong way with this poll.
ZaGaffer is usually pretty cool as far as posting goes and he's does some pretty cool glass work.. He's west coast; maybe he's still self medicated from a wild Wednesday night. Back on topic. An aging, nostalgic skate and surf population who has taken up golfing now would be a good target for Vans golf shoes. (Fast Times at Ridgemont High turned me on to Vans when I was a freshman in college back in '81.) Lots of late 40's early 50's with disposable income. I still surf way more than golf and I'd be open to trying some subtle Vans booties. Maybe black on black checks...
Yo sniffer ya newb, you really know how to **** up a rock fight. This is a forum and anybody can say what they want in a respectable mannor. Just because you are still recovering in your **** house in **** bottom, nj, doesnt mean you gotta ruin a forum with your awful two sense that no one give a **** about. So how about you go back to fixing your crappy life and shove that up your ass. On the other hand, I think Vans golf shoes are the greatest idea for the company. I would definately be interested in bring that style onto the course while smoking Ls. The booties idea would also be really clutch as long as they are not too flashy. Great forum and also very unteresing
By well said do you agree that you are from a trashy azz part of NJ or just a piece of **** in general? You need to do something my man, go help your neighbor out or go stick ya thumb up your ass, but sure as hell dont waste your time being a piece of ****. Great talking to ya scrub.
Dude, here's your first lesson while pitching any product. Take your knocks, don't let them phase you and move on. You started talking about new products for Vans.... A couple posts later you're cussing guys out and talking about getting drunk. I wouldn't invest with you.
thanks for the feedback guys. sniffer no hard feelings. sniffer piffer shut the **** up trying to stay on topic here. bring your **** somewher else
LBI is a trashy area, PLEASE spread the word! And thank you Piffer for inspiring me to help my neighbors, I really needed someone like you to tell me that, oh thank you!
vans going cheap on golf shoes is a bad idea. but the booties is an amazing idea i never even thought of that you could do that with gloves too
zagaf your not worth my time of day. im gonna say one thing, dont classify my as a main street surfer you dont know me.
