Please, enjoy going super sonic. But PLEASE do not film it. Seriously does anyone else HATE videos of airs? They are incredibly boring to watch. If kelly slater pulls a 540 after ripping down the line, after throwing in 9 turns and a floater, and comes back down on the actual wave, yeah that is awesome. But everything else has it's own place, and it's not in a 10 minute long surf video
Well I was excited to read this thread and find some advice for learning airs, but who am i kidding, I should know by now the advice to sh*t talk ratio is ridiculous on here. Thank you for those who gave some advice, especially comparing it to bmx and skating, which i have done for almost 12 years. I think it always seemed similar so i'll integrate that into my attempts, which by no means are very good yet, but I have fun.
You get what you pay for...... Anyway, I definitely don't agree with equating it to BMX or snowboarding.... skating may be the closest, but the variables are completely different. I think you need to pay the most attention to the wind speed/direction and making sure you are surfing waves steep enough to launch from without launching out the back. Fawley: Please tell me where "the waves are great" that you can live year-round. I'm sure your over-priced (CoC) M.A. in Super Awesome and Better than You will allow you to live in such a mythical place and make millions of dollars while only working 3 days a week. "I rip harder than you ever could (even though i feel no need to validate my ability on a surf forum)." So, so ironic. Plus, PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!
