Looking back a month and half ago I know I was acting like a big **** on here and im not proud of it. seriuosly I just meant to tease you a bit and things just got way out of hand. also when I teased you on your thread I didnt realize so many people would have seen that. so I'm sorry about that. i guess it all stems from that session we had, I thought it was some competitive playful fun, but things got maybe too serious and things escalated. seriously i have surf friends from belmar and we call each other wussies and other names if we dont go for waves and push ourselves. Well i guess i was trying to be like that with you and i forget about the injury you had. so i was wrong for being like that. what ever the case maybe its all my fault, cause your a guy who just came to surf and i guess let my obnxious side ruin a session. you had every right to be pisses at me. you know i forgot what it was all about. just being stoked to surf. i got too into wave counts and technical crap. i know we werent great friends before but i dont wanna be enemys, id like to go surfing and run into you and say hi at least.
Its all about the stoke.Thats whats in it for me.Of course Im always trying to surf my best and improve every time I paddle out.Not out there to compete ,just out there to catch a few lines.Apology accepted, see you in the lineup.
as much as I'm not into bigger boards and single fins, That board looks like a classic 70s gerry lopez or larry bertlemann north shore look to it and has got to be pretty fast and fun. I'm stubborn about riding bigger boards but I would acutally give that a serious try.must be my love for the 70s and the rawness of how things were back then.
When Tom designed it he combined the Lopez bolt and an egg shape.I guess you can call it a lightning egg.Yea its pretty fast down the line.Board has a nice solid ride to it.
yeah thats been the new trend with making new boards the last few years. you take 2 different designs and blend them together. example, say you take the "outline" of 1 board and then maybe the "rocker" of another. seems to be the new trend and seems kinda fun. i think it helps you understand how a board will ride or feel a whole lot better even before you ride it. and yeah they come up with some funs names too like the one you came up with. "the lighning egg". thats exactly how they will sometimes name a board.
