if luck prevails.... the swell will come right when all the kiddies have to go back to school. around labor day would benice. the beaches are wide open again.... no grandma from ohio on a raft in the take off zone. no pack of wild 5 year olds on the inside with water wings and kick boards. and best of all, the kids who think they are on the pro tour, dropping in on whomever.... well they are sitting in english class while the grown ups get to surf and enjoy the ocean for the next 9 months. anytime we want... not just on weekends. labor day cant come soon enough! study hard kids!
Yup, and last friday I had to break up a fight between a 60 year old guy and a late 30s early 40s year old, overly aggro guy... Both of whom dropped in on me!!! HAHAHAHA! Then the overly aggro guy accused me of being a tourist, I just laughed at his mongo ass!

Couldn't have said it better. I can't wait... I've been getting ready to get some new gear for winter, and as luck would have it my good friends girl got a job w/ Xcel, so I'll get to try some of their stuff out. Swell is coming for sure. Not only that but I know that alot of people (who work y/r in ocmd) get their hours cut back, or just flat out take some time off in the off season when the waves are bangin. I do. Our time is definately right around the corner. I'm dying for north ocmd to start crankin too...
point well taken.. but as for the punk kids i know me and my friends will come out for any swell.. but dont worry we dont drop in on anyone.. we keep our distance, more fun when theres more room and not have to worry bout hitting people, definatley something im looking forward to in september and later
not for me they aren't. being your own boss has its perks. and im not some agro 40 something either. far from it in age and i have never talked **** to anyone in the water in my 15 years of surfing. in fact, ive never had anyone talk **** to me in the water besides once in costa rica. getting dropped in on happens... its not like there wont be another wave... didnt your parents teach you to share?
was all that bout the **** talking and sharing directed toward me or was that just part of the story about costa rica cause i dont think i said anything about either of those things.. i was just curious bout how you were out there during standard job hours.. and if you dont mind me asking what do you do.. i want to be my own boss and take off whenever i want
