Hey guys I usually ride 6' super burnside. I was offered a brand new 5'9 tuflite k-small for 300$. I'm worried the size might be a little small, but I thought the tuflite might make up for loss in size. What do you guys think? Any opinions on tuflite in general? Thanks!
Sorry here some additional info: I live in NorCal and usually surf steamers. I'm 5'11 and ~155 pounds.
In terms of size, that's your personal choice. A lot of people think EPS/Epoxy construction gives more float, and it may, but not much. Buoyancy is a function of volume. Go down in volume, and you go down in buoyancy. So the difference in float you get between equal volume boards comes down to their difference in weight alone. Typically, that difference is about a pound. Rider weight, wetsuit weight, how much Monster Energy Drink you chugged before your session... can fluctuate by a pound or more. So there's no way that 5'9 will give you equal float to your current board. Keep in mind, too, that the K-Small is a low volumed small wave board to start with. My opinion on Tufflite in general? I've ridden a bunch of them. They ride just fine, but will never be you magic board. Flex is a little different, but you get used to it after a few waves.

Good call..........I know lots of people who have owned tufflites and sold them after the first session including myself. They are hard paddling boards. Not to bad in perfect no drift glass above the waist but how often do you have those conditions. They also ride slow and stiff to me.
