I agree that the original quote was pointless and would accomplish nothing other than pissing off the poor guy driving the bulldozer, but I disagree that replenishment is the way to go about dealing with erosion. Many other ways that would cost the state less, and probably be more efficient. I live in MD, and the shorey gets so sketchy in areas where bars don't form.
