ive been in and haven't gotten sick or any rashes. jus make sure not to swallow any water and shower good when u get home. rinse out ur wet suit good too.
been in dozens of times since sandy. surfed for hours at a time, swollowed water, the whole nine yards. no problems for me.
Are you talking about because of the storm months ago? I'm pretty sure the ocean is back to normal if not close to it. It was reportedly nearly back to normal by December. The ocean doesn't take long. Lots of water constantly moving. That being said I don't know of anyone that isn't back into their regular surf routine and I also don't know of anyone that has gotten sick, not now nor soon after the storm.
Alright sweet I only havent been in cause I needed a new wetsuit but I just ordered one the other day so I'll get back in probably during next week or so
