I'm wondering in your opinion micah where is the best spot for this weekend. Obviously we are going to have some waves in this region for the weekend but where and when do you recommend going with the potential for large waves, but a howling se wind? I was thinking Indian River it always seems to groom those giant south swells even with a south wind. Basically im worried its gonna be unrideable and these waves are going to be a waste

Dude 25-30 kt se winds at south side? I dont like surfing huge choppy waves that throw me into jetties.

models are changing on every update for these tropical systems, so please just keep checking the updates.

The latest hurricane model (GFDL track) is showing SW wind shift for Delmarva on Saturday.

Thats what I"m hoping for right now.

I was kinda hoping for a late Saturday night or early Sunday AM shift...I can't surf late on Saturday because of a family party but also don't want the outdoor party to be washed out either.

So in other words...I want my cake and wanna be able to eat it too...as long as I can get some punchy ones, I don't care..

No doubt, why not just get a bus & invite all of Delmarva/everyone else to the breaks.

Just wait until the waves get here & do some searching. If you don't know what spots work with certain swells/winds & you go to the better known breaks, give the regulars some room.

I will be up North, so it really doesn't matter to me this w/e.
