I think the best part for me is the dive off the board at the end. Certainly takes himself seriously.

 

At least he looks both ways before popping. I applaud what hes's doing... practicing his pop, stance, and transitions, warming up, and starting small at an uncrowded break.

I think a kook is someone who doesn't tune in, surfs above his/her ability, and gets in the way. That being said it is pretty funny, but how many people won't do this and will stink up the lineup on a good day.

 

P.s. I could see you up on the cliffs, I didnt think you were videotaping me though... creep.

Looks familiar. Wasn't this same vid posted on this forum a couple months ago by the guy himself? As I recall, he did it as a gag. Some of the comments were the same too, like his looking before popping up.
