its still a little too early to tell, but if ike stays on its current path we may be in for a gustav repeat, or we could be in for some really nasty weather. lets all keep our fingers crossed.
ya, it looks like another potentially very dangerous situation again in the gulf. but, of course, that also means potentially very good surf.
I (might) like Ike I am amazed how fast fate can turn, yesterday I'm preparing to evacuate and 12 hours later I'm prepping for a monster swell. Mother nature is unpredictable, but let's just hope Florida will be spared.
Hopefully Ike stays a little farther south of the keys. Im a little sketchy about this one tho living in Naples.
Don't beat me with the shoe... It sure looks like Ike is going to treat someone in the Panhandle like Tina. I'm already making plans for both scenarios: evac or paddle.
so far i have been there for swell from bertha, dolly, gustav, hanna, and now ike. i feel obligated to get some swell from this storm as well. but seems like there is gonna be a little too much wind...
Jobless? Well im hoping the reports hold true like they are supposed to this time around, Gustav didnt fill in like reports did. Either way W Florida should see a swell by tomorrow and lasting possibly through Saturday. If that holds true i might be jobless, broke, sunburnt, and unable to walk by the end of the week.
You can always get another job, you can always make more money, remember to re-apply sunscreen every hour or so (right, I just finished peeling from Gustav), and the ability to walk should return in a week or so. So see, it's not so bad. No matter what you try you're not gonna get that 'must surf -----must surf-----must surf...' thing out of your head.
