Are you joking, it's about to be flat / windswells for the next 3 months.

Seemed like we had nice swells all winter. Solitude. I prefer winter anyway. Actually had some really good waves last week or so. Barrells. So not sure about the little windswell you make reference of.

Had swells that were better than most hurricane swells, more consistent, and far less crowded all winter. I'll take a pass on summer. Never got what the big deal was with hurricane season.

I'll take a 15 second ground swell any day of the week. Bulls eye Bermuda...

I'm with Lightoftruth and SlyB. Winter was really good this year. The cold weeds out the casual crowd. I do love hurricane swell, but the warm weather turns my favorite breaks to a zoo.

Brahs I put on my aggro face and mean mug the crowds to let them know who the real charger in town is. Once they see me drop my balls so deep in a barrel they'd think I got sucked into the northend canyon until I pop out the back and do a whirly bird in the air and then I land right on my board already with momentum and don't even have to paddle back out I just drift that way naturally, yeah once they see that they will yield every wave. Usually they will even spot the outside sets and yell "CHARGER, OUTSIDE SET". I nod and let them take the credit for the spot, but we all know I saw that set a mile out before they did and I'm already on the peak.

hurricane season blows asscrack. so not stoked on it one bit. i wish winter was year round but my girlfriend has been *****ing about how cold it was. I loved it cause the points had light crowds. with hurricane season come the massholes and out of towners.

I thought this winter was really good.Seems like I was getting some good surf every week since about Oct.
Hurricane swell can be great...but it takes a lot of things coming together to make it happen.Usually it gets hyped as being epic and then turns into a wind blown mess with 50 kooks in the water to make it even better.

Winter was really good, but as I look at the cameras right now and see the ocean turning into a lake, I just want swell!

hey heres an idea.if your spot is crowded,go to the next!!!!not that hard to see.we get big groundswells and all the kooks and yuppies migrate to Manasquan inlet,jenks,belmar,asbury,deal,lavalette,seaside,etc..
my question is why??I hear people cry all year round that their spot is crowded.ok little kookies, say Kelly slater, benny b,corey lopez, etc migrate up north to tak to get some good hurricane hunter footage(which they do every year) are you a) going to say beat it kook. b) share some waves. or c) stand on the beach with your camera flicking them!!I have buddies that live everywhere from sea bright to Lakehurst.even have a few buddies in barneget,if I had the gas id surf down there every time because it sucks up north.

so instead of crying online about how kooks are ruining your spot,go take a surf trip to indo, tahiti, hawaii and tell them how much locals rule and you drool and see how many waves you get,if you don't get robbed first!!

    just a thought

Flat as a hell out there. After a consistent spring I'm looking forward to a good cane swell, nothing destructive, just a TS that would hang around the Atlantic sending us waves for a few days

oh my god...really? it's not even memorial day & we're cranking up the hype machine already??

as others have said, this winter saw plenty of good, solid surf. if you weren't on it, well, that's your issue.
