I'm relatively new to Delaware, lived here almost two years. I'm a former surfer from LI who moved inland for several years just getting back into it this past March. It's pretty good when it's cool out. But now it's that time of year...the two surfable spots in DE get about 1 good day a week if that.

So, without having to reveal specific locations, what general locations do you guys head to for better waves when it's beat here?

You really only have three choices: Go north, south or very, very far west.

I chose the third option. The last 8 months out in San Diego. I'd suggest it if you live to surf. However I've found that all in all delaware is the place for me. May sound odd but when you live somewhere else like that, and not just travel, you miss the little things. The road trips themselves were worth it though.

Jersey seems to always be firing! But you better be able to bench, that's all I'm sayin!

Feel your pain man....I've lived in Milton for 20 years, and have pretty much worn out route 113 southbound for better waves between June and August. 45 minutes driving to a shot at decent waves beats anything closer, at least for me. There's no getting around Delaware sucks in the Summer. No swell, no sandbars in DE once the SSW windswell/Bermuda high swell season starts, which it has early this year.

yesterday morning...some fun ramps down south of Delawhere?

For your standard small to medium sized swell, Ocean City is almost always better then Delaware.

If you're close to Lewes you could always take the ferry over to Cape May
