Hey, would youse guys(Archy, Mr. Brewengineer, and Mr. Yankee) be interested in creating a tv program that can run on Sunday mornings against the mainstay political pundit shows? I reckon we should get an Archy ally to make things even.

You guys can argue politics, surfing, and anything else y'all don't see eye-to-eye on. I can be the producer, just like Ryan Seacrest. It would appeal to a wide audience do to the "average joe" factor and the wide range of topics to be discussed. Ya know, not just some suits battling between democrat and republican. Ahh man, we could get, America's greatest mayor, Marion Barry, to make appearances from time-to-time.

Anyways, y'all be careful aboot scrappin' too much on here. Y'all might get punished, and I don't want to see that happen to any y'all. I reckon sometimes one of youse guys is going to have to be like Jesus and turn the other cheek. As I said, I would hate to see any of youse guys get in trouble.

Oh Quiksilver guy, that was a pretty good one. Oh Archy, I give you credit for standing by your beliefs in the face of popular criticism. It's not easy being the target.

That's simply not true. I didn't instigate a nothin'. I never threw the first insult, but I sure as hell wasn't backing down from a verbal scrap. I've lost interest in internet squabbles these days so that won't be happening again. Shoot, I even excused and refrained myself from political talk on here. And I LOVE fighting politics...........

But really, Mr. Yankee, I never did nothing. I posted things, actually of a serious nature, and I got some attention. So you know, people use that as a vehicle to get attention for themselves. Really, you go take a gander at SJB's threads he started and you'll see I didn't do a nothin'. I just used to get attacked by a handful of monosyllabic dorks. And unfortunately, I took the bait.

MFITZ: Will you stop complaining aboot the thread materials. I think you keep saying that because you don't feel like a viable, accepted part of the community, like Archy. Maybe you don't feel appreciated or noticed enough?

Actually there is more insightful, intelligent people contributing to this place now than I have ever seen. Didn't you have a 48 hour, every ten minute, fight with the ultimate college hippy, Trevolution, a month ago? Complete with juevenile playground insults. Hey, people put up with that, so please stop complaining. Now, I'm sorry to get all saucy on you, but viewing fights aboot conspiracies is wayyyyyy more interesting than corny-ass threads aboot nothing.........and wetsuit questions.

I don't know, some people do enjoy the pointless corny threads aboot nothing. We all have to realize that there's all kinds out there with all sorts of tastes. Our will and desires are not the most important things in the world. We have to accept everybody and their opinions and contributions.

This goes to all y'all: If you don't like the current material on here...........WELL, THEN START A THREAD AND WOW US ALL. Blow our minds. Or move along cowboy...........or start your own surf predictin' website forum and reign over it with an iron fist. You could be, like, the surf predictin' website forum dictator. Paddington... you bring up good points. certainly a wide range of topics does keep the interest level up... but ultimately this is a surf forecasting site and not a conspiracy theory site.

I'd much rather read about wetsuits and surf experiences and the occasional lineup fights that take place then someone thinking Jet Condensation trails are govt mutant gasses intended to control the population or kill the population..... I'd even prefer to read a post from Roy about his super excellent better than anything in the world surfboards...

 

Well MFITZ, I didn't know the government was trying to kill us, so those threads were extremely helpful to me. You ever see Goodfellas when Henry is being tailed by a helicopter? Well I'm looking up in the sky just like him now. But instead of the police I'm paranoid about chemicals being released from Mechanical Bird in sky.

Plus, thanks to those threads I only eat dirt......organic dirt, that I grow myself............

Thanks MFitz for being civil and not responding with a volleyball of insults. I repsect that. I'm actually really impressed. Most people resort to the insult thing if they are called-out for anything. You just made my day.

 

Agreed, the IQ is better than it has been in the recent past. I still gotta give you a hard time once in awhile, as mild as that may be. As for the trevoloo thing, yep; and it was so minor that I can't even recall it.

I could do without the nutty poison-contrail type of posts; the topic goes off the rails so fast & people start hatin' and shouting. But what can you do.

I learned my lesson and have dialed my comments down. Admin posted a good cartoon in the locked thread where posters were barking at each other about home schooling or Monsanto or something. That cartoon summed it up for me.

 

I can assure you of one thing, if someone is on this forum they have their own spots they like to surf. I am not heading 100 miles south to get into a fist fight with NJshredmachine at his sandbar because the week before someone posted some pics with the spot named. I mean, you could put a google map link and tell me I'd be staying at a hostel with 15 disease free russian babes who just got to the USA and have cases of beer and Vodka and... and.... well I'd probably go then, but....you get what I'm saying. Who cares if you name your own spot and takes pics. It is, after all, your spot.
