I have to disagree. I'm sure there are many who look at the forum who don't have their own surf spots. Peeps from inland, weekend warriors, PA peeps etc. there are also peeps that have there own spots but at any particular time the conditions might not cooperate. Therefore they travel to find better. So blowing up spots is lame no matter how you look at it. Even if it's your own spot and your getting the best waves, people in the way and an extra amount of clueless types ruin the experience of enjoying waves in your backyard.
Thanks for the heads up on the spot! Me and the rest of the Kooker Street Boys will be coming down from Staten Island to claim what's rightfully ours and to hell with you "locals". OP, you got nothing to worry about as you're cool in my book. When we're down you can let us know it's you by leaving the lineup and exiting the water. Respect! Since you're being so helpful, could you point out this "Dawn" chick I keep hearing about? With so many guys patrollin' for her she must be one sweet skank! No need to introduce us as my new haircut is sure to win her over. That's right -- I've got your spot AND your girl! Deal with it. (see what I did there?) /amidoinitright?
By the way, NJShredmachine's spot is the Ventnor Pier, which is located in Ventnor, NJ...............Cambridge Avenue. Feel free to come visit. It's the next town south of Atlantic City on beautiful Absecon Island. Kind of a cool town. Surf, walk the boards, and then stroll around the commercial area on Ventnor Ave. The northern part of Ventnor has a bit o' Atlantic City influence so you out-of-towners be wary. But come on down. The further south you go on Absecon Island, the mo nice it becomes especially once you cross into Margate and later Longport. Watch your driving speed in Margate and Longport especially if you have been drinking Kasser's vodka or got something funny in your pocket. And maybe, just maybe, you might run into the Shredmachine.
Snagged this one at DEAL this morning before work Then I got out when his dolphin breached right next to me.
Well........... Ok, brace yourself, Mr. Sniffer, but Margate has a pier, too. BANG !! It's called.......anybody....anybody? Right, The Margate Pier. While not quite as impressive as the fat surf at The Ventnor Pier, it's still a pier. And we all like surfing next to piers. Margate is home to Casels Market, Dino's Subs, and NJ shred grandfather, Dean Randazzo used to live in Margate. Also, when the South Philly mafia was powerful many of them owned houses in Margate. Probably still do. Maybe.......... Also, if you like watching people get kicked, banged and smashed in the testicles, the area is also home to testicle smashing afficionados, Nub TV. They film each other getting kicked in the nuts and falling off of things. The only problem is they were like 15 years too late, and don't have any endearing qualities. Plus, in today's age anybody with a camera and a case of beer can do the same sh!t. Ahhh, Absecon Island.......guns, drugs, crime, casinos and hookers at the northern end, and lush, tranquil prosperity at the southern end. Book a hotel room tonight. We'll leave the light on.
If you're going to pontificate ad nauseam, can't you get "Their" & "There" and "Your" & "You're" straight?
Sweet! I didn't realize anybody was takin' pics out there this morning...yeah, that was a heavy one i got into early...can i get that picture off you? I want to make it my avatar. Don't worry about Mary Lee, I've domesticated her; she just jumps for the attention.
PJB... listening to you is like fantasizing about having sex with a nun... just so wrong on so many levels! "Did he just say that? OMG... really???? REALLY??? OMG... I can't believe he just SAID that!. You want to do WHAT to Sister Mary Elephant?"
PJB was definetly raised a catholic school boy, no doubt about it. If you ever need any counseling PJB, Im always here for ya bud.
Access issues in NJ have have been wagered in local and appellate courts ,as I personally antied up with my attorney to play and change the rules . Our venture created a basis of opening surfing in many places , yet with 500 buck changing tickets and 2 hour parking in Deal one should take that into context. It wasnt that long ago folks this was a no surfing town 24/7 .
Thanks Sandblasters. That means alot especially since LBCrew and Mr. Sniffer are givin' me the business. That's a Leave it to Beaver term....."Givin' me the business" For you younger folks, it means they be bustin my testies. Actually, I did a mixture of Catholic and public schools back in the good ol' days. Holy shoot, I left Southern California at the beginning of 7th grade, or Grade 7 for you Canadians, and lived in this town right next to the border of SW Philly until mommy and daddy got settled and moved to Nueve Yersey. Now, I had attended a public school in California(mostly, did a year-an-half at a Catholic one, but it closed) that was just sooooo Southern California. The teachers were complete space cadets. There was no educating going down there. Sometimes I wonder how Southern California functions..... So I get to this town and go to the Catholic school, which I was happy to because that was kind of a rough town and the public school was populated by ex-Philly, 17 year-old 8th graders. But man, what a culture shock. This was one strict school. I was floored. I was all, " Heyyyy man relax, dudes. I got some avacado." I was getting snapped at by the teachers harshly man. Though child abuse by nun had ceased to exist, these ones definately were from that era and wanted to do some beatin'. Man, and all of those Southern Cali kids thought they were tough and cool, but man they had nothin' on these kids. Mr. Sniffer I might need to talk to you aboot that year. Next week, as I head south, I'll tell you all aboot Ocean City, NJ. Shhhhhh that place is a total secret spot. Not many people know aboot it. I hope you guys come visit Absecon Island. SERIOUSLY FOLKS, go spend some money from LBI - North. Show your east coast pride and help them crackers out. If you are planning any trips along the eastern seaboard go to New Jersey. Hey, we got waves(Deal), and if you have a family, no where is more entertaining during the summer than New Jersey's beaches and boardwalks. Hey, you might win a stuffed bear on the boards. Thank you.
WOW!!! I cant wait!!! I never heard of those spots! Thanks!!! Im going to rent a van and take a trip down with all the bro's from up here at that popluar jetty in monmouth county that everyone talks about... i always forget the name of that jetty... anyone??? anyone?? but please...please....please... dont tell em about the infamous camden spot... its not like its already not crowded...
