cold water

Swell direction. South swells bring upwelled waters causing extremely cold waters.

 

yeah i was out at loch arbor today when it was me and one other soul. then about an hour into it about 15 people came outta the wood work. even some old dude with a spring suit and boots catching ever ripple on his massive cadillac of a surf board. i cant wait to feb. rolls around and people get scared of the cold water

 

Fock that, my ass has went south, south, and will go west, CA, then go south again, CR. Fock that cold devil rejected water up there in the Northeast. Have fun waiting for a Hurricane or a Nor' Easter, I got my wet suit and will put it on in a couple of months but not for nothing now is too early. Jersey is too cold for me so I banish myself...I banish myself to warmer waters and more consistent waves...I head southwest my friends

 

i personally am ready for the cooler water... better waves and much less tourists. the warmth of summer has it's appeal, but the crowded mush gets old real fast for me. this sunday some asshat was standing in my line and in an attempt to get out of my way he actually dove head first into my board, give it a month and the asshats will be gone!

 

with today's wetsuits, getting cold rarely happens.

 

lets enjoy fall first. . .if you looking forward to february and 37 degree water you may want your head examined

 

i said i look forward to "cooler water" 37degrees is a bit too cold. february & march i typically snowboard

 

Fall is best IMO-water is decnet temp and tropical waves (when we get them) but winter is almost as good. Less kooks and more power more often since we get more nor'easters then hurricanes. I'll take less people over warm water any day.

 

what is everyone gonna wear this winter a 4/3 or 6/2

 

5/4/3 Rip Curl F-Bomb with 5 mm lobster claws and 7mm booties

 

Im gonna wear a 4/3 with a thermal rash guard with a hood attached.

 

5/4/3 hyperflex amp. Love that suit.

 

i must be sick cuz i look forward to the winter when its 37 degrees. i keep warm with my 6 mil wit no hood. luv the brain freeze u no?

 

My $150 brand new 6/5/4 Rip-Curl!!! Sucks getting in and out of that thing but sure is warm.

 

i hear good things, but hear they fall apart after a couple of months.

i wear a 4/3 with thermal hood attached, 7 mil booties n 3mm oneill psycho gloves, they're awesome

 

definitly the hyperflex amp 5/4/3 (unreal suit) with the 5mm boots and 5mm lobster gloves

 

A 6/2 is too much. A 4/3 is better.

 

i plan on using my billabong gold solution 5/4/3 again..... if it still fits

 

4/3 core fireskin, 5 mil boots, 5mil hood, 7 mil mittens. love them yo. xcell! they paddle nutz!
