    What is ur weak spot?
When I get exhausted and worn out either from too much exercise or work or both my throat just under my Adam's apple hurts and I find it hard to talk a lot and my attitude changes. I don't even wan to surf when this happens which I enjoy more than anything.
I find we all have a weak area that tends to go first when life is too much.

You should get your thyroid checked out.

EDIT: I have a week spot for beer and cheeseburgers.

X2 on getting your thyroid checked man.

Personally, I get a little shaky and my knees tend to buckle easily when I seriously over-do it. My forehead sweats easily when I'm like that too. It has nothing to do with having eaten or being hungry either.

Calf cramps are the first to hit when I'm getting exhausted and start over-doing it. Then back pain... which will sometimes force me out of the water.

The next day, my bad shoulder joint hurts. Do they do shoulder replacement?

I find a steady diet of bananas and/or coconut water help with the calf cramps. The potassium helps with the muscle cramps. If I anticipate a long session coming up, I load up. Don't know what's worse, the fact that I know this, or that I am sharing it. Getting old is fun isn't it?

Noodle arms. Then again I'm only 18 so I don't have any bad anything yet, just paddle until I can't paddle anymore.

Calf cramps sometimes for sure...also I get random hip cramps sometimes while sitting on the board that are like debilitating. Usually have to float on the back for 30 seconds or so to stretch it back out,

Calf cramps, especially if I'm not hydrated enough...and as mentioned above, always seems to happen on my way back out through the impact zone, which kinda sucks when it's bigger.

My weak spot is finding the time to do the things I love. I don't want to have to be a weekend warrior at age 22 but with the hours I work and my long commute it's hardly even worth it to go do anything after work.

Dawn patrol is my salvation to that. My commute is not far; but a great surf session before work really sets my day off right.

Weak spot: I have, I believe, a pulled/strained IT band in my right leg. Popping up is normally not an issue; but swimming back to the board or the pull of the leash can aggravate it really quick.

Yes I make time to surf and not go to the doctor.... My wife says I'm an idiot ;0

Since I broke both of my wrists those are usually the first things to go due to the arthritis it's caused me. Makes popping up really hard too and this can happen as early as 20 minutes into the session. (And I'm 18...can't imagine what the older crowd must suffer through since they've had more time to do dumb ****

Weak Spot? When you hit 50, you get weak spots. Here we go:
Arthritis in shoulders- from years of surfing and heavy lifting at work. (Get a desk job y'all)
Skin cancer- I've had 3 chunks of flesh removed from my shoulders
Belly Fat- When you get older the pizza and Jack Daniels sticks to you. Forever.
Road rash- Decades of Harley Davidson riding
Sore calf muscles- the ole lady likes it from behind and she's taller than me. Gotta stand on the balls of my feet.

Second the calf cramps. Particularly if it's when I've been working out heavily and surfing a lot. Malnourishment and dehydration also cause them, so I make sure I'm well fed and watered during heavy surfing weeks. It's pretty easy to get dehydrated while surfing and not notice.

Also, if I overdo it my joints can start to get a little sore. That's when I lay off for a few days.

My right shoulder bothers me, I surfed two days in a row in April and it felt like my arm was gonna fall off. Have been resting it since and now I'm back in the gym going light and swimming without kicking trying to build it back up. Any ideas?
