Yeah Better Than You, what bands are cool enough for your advanced ears? I cant wait to hear what underground bands you come up with to come off like you are the messiah of music...
Although some tracks could be construed as ska, Sublime is way more punk/reggae. There's plenty of overlap with those genres. The pure ska movement had its latest movement in the 80s spilling into the 90s, and Sublime (debuting in '88) didn't grab hold of that genre in their songs near as much as bands like the Bosstones. Sublime rules all.
+1 to this. It's great to reminisce to songs like that. Play those beats on cassette to ladies of today!
As the OP, I would like to add another dimension to this thread - beer. To all the hop-heads and brew-dogs out there, Sierra Nevada's Hoptimum is the dankest brew on the block right now. Stop reading this and go pick up a 4-pack right now! Hey Wilmywood (Erock) - it's at Harris Teeter Hey CB - it's at Fatty P's
I haven't posted here in about a year, but I have to say, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! Sublimes probably one of the top 10 best bands in the last 20 years and they were only around for what 5 years? If Bradley wasn't around they probably would have been considered the best of that generation with Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, RHCP, etc.
Tis a good brew indeed. I would also recommend New Belgium Rampant IPA and Founders Double Trouble. Both are very hoppy.
