Got a 34" Greenroom from the GF as a bday gift a couple weeks ago, thought, "hey, this looks pretty cool." To my surprise, these boards are pretty damn fun to ride. Great pumping and turning action on them.

Not going to lie, I was skeptical at first, but I just order the "31 Resin, looking forward to even more of a shortboard feel. Just thought, I'd throw in the review in case anyone is like me and has to find a way to deal with summer flatness madness.

    Later

    PS...These ****s aren't cheap $200 a board with the C7 set-up but still fun, nonetheless.

    Kyle,

You and I suffer from the same syndrome. Living in South Florida!

Today I received the twin brother of the board you ordered. Da Monsta. It's a fun little board and I think you will like it.

I also have an Australian Smoothstar. This is pretty much the same concept with a few differences. Cool board as well.

    I surf Juno Pier often.

    Update,

Yesterday I got to surf for the first time since riding the Carver/Smoothstar for 3 weeks straight and my balance/foot placement/surfing was exponentially better than before.

This is a great cross training tool for those serious about improving their surfing.

I've had a Taylor Knox model for a little under a year. Love it!

Keep the front truck tight and it'll imitate mushy Florida.

So, after a few weeks of using them almost daily, can def feel a difference in my legs and feet. I notice it really builds those muscles in the front foot/leg so I feel like I'm pumping a lot harder in the water (although I have nothing close to a way to see if so, and by how much lol)

Come on Atlantic, let's say you just spin some storms out there and send some good stuff our way, feel like i could pump my way out of deepest njshredmachine sized pit....although you all and I both know I wouldn't come close.

Thumbs up on the Carver gear from me, dudes.

P.S. Whats up Leon? I surf the pier a lot, maybe I'll see you out one day.

I grew up surfing the pier too... I have two carvers, the Taylor know and a shorter, fish shaped 29" one, the sparrow or something.. anyway I'm completely with you, its been the best way for me to work on my surfing, cause when I'm on a wave I don't think, i just act.. hut when I'm on my carver I can take the time to notice how I move my body, imitating surfing maneuvers, and improve on it.

That being said, I brought both of my carvers with me when I moved to hawaii, but I just don't seem to use them anymore....hmmmm?? Lol
