    I went out today, and there were actually lifeguards that looked like they could save a guy, but yea...there's plenty of "big boned" lifeguards here.

    I'm 47 years old haven't guarded in almost 30 years and I know I could have gotten to that guy faster than that dude.

    God I hate the sound of that whistle. You know, the lifeguards are whatever, it's the f**king police everywhere. Saving the world one surfing ticket at a time.

    seriously! flippers on a knee high (maybe!) day, goggles, & WALKING on a rescue...pathetic to highest degree. it makes me embarrassed to admit that i was a lifeguard on the east coast!

    its no joke. many guards in the mid-atlantic are laxer bros who know very little about the ocean.
