Good point, however, it must be noted that while NJshred's scale of wave height is 2.5x that of mine foot for foot, mine is 2.5x that of the mainstream community.

Got to say that I'm pretty close to linking 10 Slip & Slides together and placing them on a rideable decline of land. I did what PB&J says to do by going down to the beach and seeing the "report" for myself and all I saw was still water.

Dude you dont live in the north east

Yes I understand that central FL rarely goes below waist high but Anywhere north of long island is like a pond right now.

I know where you were and Are man...It's where everyone and anyone who knows what's up has been Especially right before/during and after incoming tide. I wasn't out this morning, sidelined being sick, but on REALLY good authority couple hours ago from a couple of brothers who Don't exaggerate- That was the report. Even at low tide.
    Good for you.

I don't take pics/videos but DID just return fron this exact spot and paddled out. Waist high...closing out, but the smaller ones were connecting inside. Got reports of people late afternoon further up along the same strip and RIGHT NOW at a very popular point getting it. Nothing Spectacular, but super fun.
And of course it's not ALL tides, but on incoming tide, this beachbreak as long as there is a small bump in the water gets fun as hell for a bit. Has been almost every day.
Stop asking for relying/on pics/vids to prove everything. Talk with people tonight and tomorrow provided you've Made any friends with your attitude and ask them where they surfed last night yesterday morning. Enough people were out you're Bound toget an answer.
    Good luck.

Man,that waist to chest high stuff sure has been missing VB.
For awhile now it's been 0-1ft with an occasional 2 ft. Can't do nuthin' about that. Just live and make the best of it. Use a longer board. Check different spots in the area - even along the same beach. Go at different times. Here, around low tide seems to be best with the weak swells/small waves we've been experiencing. As has been suggested, talk with others. Perhaps they've had better luck at spots you haven't yet checked or during times you haven't been out.
Or just go out and paddle for exercise.

You're complaining about it being flat but you don't like surfing in the winter? Maybe you wouldn't be so disappointed if you looked forward to the winter like the rest of us. Summer is always flat.

All good points. Never been shy for the training. The high volume of water time I've had from February til now has been all the training I need but have to hit the dry land again. Been doing flat water paddling workouts.

"Makes me appreciate SNC and CB all the more" (Mr. Hanna)

Why? How come? Compared to Jersey?

Dude, Metros picks up more juice than SNC. Totally. Plus, Atlantic City has real projects, casinos and hookers.

Please let us know where and when you'll be staying. I'll take you on a tour. You gotta drive though. Plus, alot can change in a week. It could be double overhead, dude, and closing-out. You ever jump off a jetty to get to the line-up? Awwww, man, it is special. It's, like, you are walking on rocks in the middle of the ocean, brah. You guys don't really have any jetties down there do yas? That's too bad. Jetties are f#cking awesome, brah.

Yo, pack a 5mil though. The water was erect-nipples-cold this morrow. I should have worn gloves. Yeah, for realsies. Maybe this NE breeze will warm it up a bit, but man, we are talking, like, 55 F out there this morrow. Surf was kind-of-fun but sucked. Ya know what I am sayin' ?

I look forward to seeing you, Mr. Hanna.

so evidently it's too flat in the summer and too cold in the winter. Yes, winter is cold and summer is hot. WTF are you mama bear? There are just as many RIDEABLE days in the summer than winter (if not more) where I am. The winter just has more good days. During the summer it's about quantity over quality. Plus there is a lot more butt walkin around in the summer.

I love when mother nature makes a liar out of me. I shared my lack of patience yesterday stating I hadn't seen a ride-able day for a week and a half. Saw some potential on the webcam and headed out for a really fun session last night. Knee-thigh high, but really clean. My aircraft carrier-like longboard did the trick.

On a side note, yesterday morning during my long commute I saw a side street named "Stokewood" that I had never noticed before. I wondered if it was like morning wood, but instead of in bed you're on a board. Should have known the waves would be fun later on. Good omen.

Keep it up, brah. Keep taunting us like your name was Chantal. It's big toe to Achilles high here in MA and foamy. Would catch it on camera but don't have memory cards to waste.
