Hey guys I just bought this surfboard last night from a guy on Craigslist for $150. 7'9\" tall, 23\" wide. Other than a little damage around the tail it appears to be in good shape.

Can anyone tell me anything about the shaper, John Hunt from Hawaii? It looks like he still has a shop out there but I can't find any info on his work. This thing looks pretty old so I'm curious to learn a little more about it. Thanks!

don't forget that when funshapes were introduced there was a huge variation on design. many were simply scaled down longboards.

Yea... that's what I thought, too. Big center fin in the thruster position. Weird.

I used to own a fun shape with a similar 2+1 fin setup. Thought this was fairly common.

    Looks like Fin!...sorry, Fun.
But seriously, just seal up that tail and take her out. I'll bet it holds INSANEly well in large waves.

Ya I was desperate for something for small waves and the price was right. It's got minimal rocker so I'm hoping it will be a wave catching machine. Not sure what kind of drag all those fins will create, but I am excited that they're glassed on. I'm picturing riding it at the point break in my profile pic. When it's breaking at 2-3 ft the wave tends to dredge up on a little rock reef. It can be fairly sketchy depending on the tide with rocks poking up in 2 ft of water, but that's why I didn't want to bust out the big bucks. I'll give a ride report if we ever see surf over 1 ft....
