Are we supposed to be looking at the girl or the wave. Worst thing about girls surfing is that I can't keep my eyes on the surf and am completely distracted. Seems unnatural to be looking at a pretty wave when there's a girl in a bikini right in front of me.

Another female surfer sponsored and put in the spotlight more because of her looks and not surfing talent. She's also one of them "Hey look, I'm an artist" surfers that drive me nuts.

Can you imagine a group of 1990's pro sitting in a house in Ireland writing poetry? Absolutely repulsive. So many of these surfer dudes think they are "artists" because they take a photo of the shoreline and moon or something(ala Danny Fuller). That's another one of the problems with pro surfing - they get arse-kissed so much they think everything they do is special.

Does anyone remember that bim, Veronica Kay? Man, that chick was a sponsored "pro" surfer and could barely catch a wave. You guys and your pen!ses pave the way for untalented women to gain pro careers. It's all your fault. Because of you guys, ugly girls who rip can't become pro because they have to have a certain "cuteness" to get sponsored by Roxy. You guys touch yourselves too much.

Henny, I just can't stand women surfers who get sponsored and paid just because of their looks. And I dislike even more pro surfers who become "artists."

 

Works both ways. I don't see any hairy, pale, fat, ugly dudes in the pro circuit. Sex sells everything. Deal with it, or be annoyed forever. You can't deny her style.

Oh there's is and has been ugly, pale, fat hairy guys in the pro ranks. Plenty of them. Shawn Briley was huge, pale and hairy. Kelly Slater lost his looks in the mid 1990's. Australians are short, ugly and have bad teeth. Brazilians are hairy as heck.

There's plenty of non-model types in the men's professional ranks.

Sex doesn't sell in men's pro surfing because there are only aboot 100 female surfers in the world that take it seriously.

I deny Kassia Meador's style. Riding nothing but fat, mushy one to three foot waves on a log doesn't impress me. She is a media creation. Plain and simple.

why are you comparing a woman to a man? everyone knows that guys are naturally more athletic. that being said, Kassia Meador is a great female longboarder.

I compared men to women because some dude said that it goes both ways - that all men pros are beautiful people.

Comparing men to women? How come you labeled Ms. Meador, "a great FEMALE longboarder," instead of just saying, "She is a good longboarder?"

Why do I rip on her? Because you'll never see a photo of her riding a wave bigger than three foot. You'll never see her on anything but fat, mushy, gutless waves. She's a media creation to get the more neanderthal types of guys aroused and to give younger females surfers inferiority complexes if they aren't cute. And Kassia's appearance is overhyped too.

Y'all ever see Sector 9 ads with that Jen Smith person? Wow, she can push a skateboard, let's put her in a national advertising campaign.

And Mfitz, to score points with the ladies you shouldn't say that men are more athletic than women. You're supposed to say that women can do anything a man can do.

Ahh man, you know what's worse than the Roxy, cute-women, pro surfer thang? Female police officers. They try so hard to be tough and rough.

You win Mfitz, Kassia Meador friggin shreds and has the best lady parts, too. I'm more of a Farrah Abraham-type myself. And I like Erica Hosseini better than Alana Blanchard. And I like Sally Fitzgibbons more than Stephanie Gilmore. I'd like to slap Coco Ho's uncle, Derek. And if I was younger I'd stalk that Malia Manuel.
