So i try and stay away from Monmouth Beach / Seabright because i know that its body board "turf". But even in LB and in Deal i still find myself geting cut off. I have had times where i took off on a waves locked eyes with a bodyboarder and still have him drop in on me. And to any bodyboarder i just tell you right now . I WANT TO GAIN AS MUCH SPEED AS POSIBLE TO RAM MY BOARD INTO YOU. Can you guys not turn your head an extra 15 degrees to check both ways before you butcher another wave

If body boarders are cutting you off you're probably a kook. I've found that if you smack the lip directly above them, and then land on them they tend to keep there distance. Usually you only need to do it one time to make your point.

And vise-versa, fun to go up and smack the lip on a sponge as a stick tries to drop in just to have the nose of his board wacked!

It is all about wave respect people. Do onto others....

Yeah, I am willing to bet you have never done that. I am actually willing to bet a lot of money you have never done that.

P.S. If a bodyboarder sees you blow a drop more than once, he is going to drop in on you, even if you actually can stand up once in a while and stinkbug your way down the line.

spongegary you need to just yell at them... seriously ive only been almost dropped in on maybe 3 times and each time i either yell yo, or look out, followed by dude, or man, and they pull out like its natural family planning.

that is gnarly aguaholic. If anyone wants equal respect in the lineup, they need to show equal respect. Dropping in is not going to work, except get people pissed at you.

the real answer to the problem is stop selling boogie boards ha and just let the hobby fade away into the distant pass were it belongs.
