    water was 71 degrees today completely out of character considering belmar reported 60 degrees and sandy hook reported 68. brought water thermometer - wouldnt drop below 71.
    very brown water
    swells were tightly packed and irregular
    started at 1-2 feet early and wound up 2-3 feet when wind swung sse after 3pm
    basically kiddie waves as a result except for a short period around 4pm where they were reaching 4-5ft at best but would rise sharply and break quickly

    wow! maybe some warm current from the inlet waters. When I was out last weekend it was damn cold - mid 50's. Looking forward to shedding the 3/2.

    Yeah i was out when it was really warm. i took of my 3/2 and was fine. but the waves were pretty small.

    Huge algae bloom at the Loch. Water bore a strange resemblance to Yoo Hoo. If it
    warmed up that quickly, no surprise.
