funny how everyone online been blaming Jamie, callin him an agro kook or whatever.the only ones saying that are people that don't know him.jobs one of the nicest guys u meet, but if u mess with him,you will be dealt with accordingly.he might be an a$$ at pipe, but that's his spot.most people don't know, there a few real locals who actually live there, and not all the lucky kooks at the volcom and quik houses.guys like kala, andy, bruce, everyone else all come from kaui, not Oahu.jjf, job, mason ho are among the few who are actually locals.the locals rip the hardest but a Brazilian wins wave of the winter.ricardo been putting a lot of time in at pipe, now he will never be allowed to paddle out at pipe, while jamies there, and Jamie is always there.theres certain people u don't mess with,or drop in on,jamie being one of them

Did you just roll out of JOB's bed? Sounds like you have been scratching at his pipe.

It took 2 days for JOB to come up with his side of the story. Must be the Haleiwa education system at work.

He dropped in on Jamie and Jamie slapped him not punch. His lip was barely hurt obviously a punch would have done more damage. Ricardos is just a *****, who asks for someone to apologize to a country? Brazil is just sad that Hawaii get way better waves.

Will be hard to determine without a video. I'm surprised that one has not popped up yet.

Yeah a video would solve this, i'm starting to think this is all just a stunt, but if a video pops up that'll do all the talking, I don't think it's OK to punch another competitor but if you are on your last possible wave to win the comp and it's your wave and you get dropped in on, then maybe that's the right call, idk.

I'm not sure if fines have been established, or other means of punishment? Slapping, and punching do not belong in a heat. I'm sure Chopes locals are not happy with such a display. I remember when Garcia was at the top of his game, and people just looked the other way. It's different now that he's a has-been, and irrelevant in competitive surfing. The agro BS seems to be a common issue with Hawaiians, and Brazilians.

Jamie O'Brien is a thug and a punk, no matter how good he surfs. He has no class and never will, and this is from personally witnessing his antics.

ok since you folks like talking about job,i guess you guys think john john florence is an arrogant aggro kook too.must be considering job taught jj everything he knows, and was jjs idol since he was first charging pipe at 5.jjf wouldnt be who he is today if job wasnt on the north shore watchin his back, keepin people off jjs waves, and paving the way for him.as far as jobs surfing, well you cant really say much bad thing about that.he can charge 2ft to 60ft,launch 12ft airs, backdoor closeouts and still come out.and i speak so positive about job, because he is a good friend and love his family like their my own.everytime i go to the northshore i stay at jamies, and im treated like the president.all the real locals treat me with respect, give me food, dont charge me to stay with them.thats a true friend in my eyes.you paddle out at pipe with job,and every barney from ny to australia tries to drop in on you, they are kicked out the water.

point is,job had priority.they paddle battled(jamie never backs off),the brazo slapped him,job punched him,and then they squashed it,but then ricardo goes on instagram talkin shyt,so who the hell cares!!i just feel like if your going to disrespect job, your disrespecting john john florence, your disrespectin andy and bruce irons, your disrespecting legends of the sport.jamie couldve won a world title if he wanted, but the glamour lifestyle isnt for him

with all due respect to job (and, with my exp with brazilians, ricardo probably deserved it), saying he could have won the world title, but basically didn't feel like it, is a stretch...if people can win the title, they do

This makes next to no sense. Also, if you think he doesn't enjoy a glamarous lifestyle, you haven't watched his redbull series.

I wonder if he's Junior Dos Santos kin. That would have been killer if he's jumped Obrian in the middle of the wave and applied an omaplata in the tube. woulda gotten a solid 10 and a submission.
