I just got a 5-10 copy of the hypto krypto and there's nothing to try it out on! Hoping that if I just stop obsessively checking SwellInfo and storm tracking models that a nice little swell will come. Focusing on surfing and when perhaps a swell will come allows me to not think about the darkness in my memories. But without waves turning down the noise in my brain becomes increasingly difficult. Im praying for positive living and hoping for waves.

I am going to have unfortunately join WBOTY nominee Fitzy on this and whine that I will be in Pittsburgh so that will guarantee some waves

    ^^^ AHHHHH....

I started a thread about that cluster. Someone between Brownsville and NYC is potentially in it for real...I am already praying to a God or gods...Your welcome

Ok, we go Captain Planet on this joint and combine all bulls, goats and virgins into a sacrificial ceremony. Direct all of this energy with a carbon-based version of the AirPort Time Capsule (a Navajo Shaman) to magnify this energy into the storm. The global superstorm will consume us all, but not before we get some waves, oh what a glorious day.

I refuse to predict, only seems to end in disappointment. We'll get some. Be patient.

this is one of my favorite SI trends - the getting hyped up over a tropical wave off the coast of Africa. We dont even have a depression yet. Everyone suffering from the totally flats (motion, fitz, minnow-hunter) and the waist and belows (the rest of us) and itching for something better!

If this fades, i am expecting some fireworks on this forum! Yankee, PBJ, Clem - start stretching those fingers boys.

Anybody over the age of twenty who is getting hyped is insane.

Interesting that someone is already offering excuses on not surfing for a swell that doesn't even exist.

Also, I like how some people are frothing for big, powerful hurricane swells, yet they can barely make the drop on their longboards on slopey three footers. That always amuses me.

^^^more words of wisdom from PJB.

No canes this year. the chemtrails from jets keep them from forming.

I dont know how you cant get hyped/psyched.. my eyes are always on that region. A lot of people not only enjoy the waves but the weather that make them.. especially those on a surf prediction forum.

But yeah an indication of waveless weeks for sure.

    Feelin' your pain, KookieMonster.
Perhaps if we re-named the storms, we might get better waves...?

The best thing about tomorrow is that I'll be in decent surf by sundown.
Headed for CR in the morning, sports fans.
Unlike emass8', and much to the disappointment of my troll fan club, I will definitely NOT be heard from while clean & green.

Hope you guys git some, though, up here.

I found a video that basically sums up the way those of us have suffered through this flatspell feel:
(minus paddington ofcourse... he's been shredding knee high shorebreak all summer)

Dude, Fitz, you gotta stop this back and forth stuff. I haven't surfed a knee high wave all summer. Last Friday was close, but I patiently waited for the few thigh to waist peaks.

June had TS Andrea, that was the name, right people? Is Rockaway that crappy that you didn't get nothing but 1 foot dribble? Waves started showing Friday afternoon. Saturday was solid. People even posted pictures on here. Go look them up. It was at least head high. Sunday was still good.....3-4' with the plus set.

Then we had some system that gave us a solid week of good surf. A solid week of good waves.

Then we also had a few wam-bam-thank-you-mam, modest cold front swells that offered up a couple small but extremely fun surf in the 2-4 foot range.....accentuated by perfect conditions.

Wow, how quick people forget. Most of youse guys were already calling this THE BEST SUMMER EVER during the beginning of JULY............

I'm not going to detail July, but IT WAS THE WETTEST JULY IN THE AREA'S HISTORY. You can go over what that means in terms of weather systems and the effects they have on waves on the east coast.

August has been marginal but there hasn't been any FLAT SPELL. Not in our region, anyways.

Hey, you have one of them GoPro things, right? Well, please, dude, when these macker swells come, post a video of you on here. Oh, I meant of you surfing, not drinking coffee posting on the computer. You're dedicated to posting links of other peoples' stuff on here so it shouldn't be a problem, right? I'll look forward to it.

And if you're going to keep throwing out the jabs, PLEASE, please come up with something new. I'm getting tired of repeating myself.

Hey, I'm just axing, are you one of them hipster types? 90th St is the epicenter of hipster surfing. Do you wear tight stripped T-shirts?
