Tom Curren competing in the Belmar Pro this weekend

He was pretty hot in his younger days. Oh, and a good surfer too.

One week he's in the final (losing) against T. Knox at Sultans in the Maldives. Next he's in the Dirty surfing against Randazzo... He's sure gets around.

 

Saw that, he and Randazzo in the same heat. That really is awesome.

 

Yeah he admited to having a dark period coinciding with alcohol abuse. I'm not sure if he found Jesus and all of that but supposedly he quit. But yeah, he admitted to it. WOW !!! A pro surfer admitting to something evil !! But then again he wasn't a sponsor's glory boy at the time........

If you get me a crew trailing me like that lady did, I might consider paddling to Belmar. I mean, I wouldn't get there for months, but........ I can see the local newspapers headline: " Moron paddles from Atlantic City to Belmar for apparently no reason other than seeing a professional Californian surfer.........misses it by five months."
