I almost posted about this quiksilver s/s full 2mm when everyone was jumping on it, but held off in hopes they got better. guess they did not. 2 years ago i bought this suit online for just under $100. i didnt even use it, tried it on and sent it back. the neck/velcro i could tell was garbage, and overall it just felt very cheap. it felt so bad actually that i thought the suit was 15 years old. felt so stiff. i also tried on an xcel slx 2mm s/s full, it was similar in junkiness. both of these suits are low end, so i guess you do get what you pay for.
I have the quicksilver 3/2 syncro and get the same neck burn everytime. For the last couple years its the same burn/rub mark on the back of my neck. Only complaint I have for that one. I tried getting the 2mm but wasn't able 'cause Lee got the last one- thanks man!
I returned mine the very next day without even trying it on. Rip Curl's Rubber Soul Long John seems to be a better value, despite a slightly higher price. Rip Curl Rubber Soul Long John $84.95 http://www.swimoutlet.com/ProductDetails.asp?subscribe=Y&ProductCode=43389&gclid=CMChwIDZ17kCFcE7OgodLlEA_g#color=9325
i had the same idea - found this O'Neill 2mm long john on ebay new for $40 shipped. score! coolest thing about the suit is it has ankle zippers ha, so easy to get off. http://www.wetsuitwearhouse.com/pag...dium=cse&utm_term=3807&utm_campaign=O%27Neill
Same annoying neck problem with my QS Synchro 4/3. Duct tape over the rough spot helped some. Otherwise OK. Picked it up used a year ago. Got me through the VB winter.
8==>'s wouldn't take it back since I wore it in the ocean. Sold it to some poor bastard on craigslist. He said that he had a whole quiver of synchro stuff, I cringed...
Personally I think that quicksilver is just a clothing company now. Everytime I've bought a wetsuit of theirs its been total sh!te!
