I saw that day mentioned in another thread which reminded me to post this. Fun day, first day of waves for me since 8/3. Anyway, I ran up the dune and snapped this pic from my phone. I'm not NJSM, I don't have the Iphone37s, just a regular phone, so I can't enlarge pics. I'll get to the point. One day I set the pic as my desktop background at work and happened to notice what looks like a decent sized critter in the background. So I wanted to share and see what you guys thought. Enlarge the pic, look behind the main peak, just behind where the left is starting to peel. Maybe some one has the capability to clarify the image.
Nice A-frame!! Where did you find hollow waves that day? I was in SD but damn glad you guys were scoring back here. I can't see any critters, brah.
Ain't it!? You know I'm on the barrel hunt dude, there were even some spitters that day. You definitely have to enlarge it to see it first, then it'll stand out...now that I looked again it's almost the middle of the main peak...you could kinda even see the water moving.
Here is my pic of the day... ... As for that sea critter... looks like it was cruising at the surface for a bit unlike the dolphins who usually just pop up... seal maybe?
Sweet pic dude, I literally couldn't move when I got home that day, stayed out for a solid 7 hours or so...but yeah, quite possibly a seal...I was hoping it was an alien or something.
Dude, 7 hours was my longest last spring. And that's fighting through 10-15 wave sets to get out back. Tired as hell but happy as hell and you can eat anything that night and still get leaner. You think you won't be able to wake up the next day and then you do with relative ease since it's roaring again.
A bird of some kind? Maybe a saltwater beaver. A not uncommon sight this time of year as they migrate south.
April & October are by far the months of the most plentiful supply of beaver, both saltwater and fresh. They're all about to hibernate fellas, so either catch one up a league for the winter since she's in a hurry to latch on or have a hell of a couple weeks while several audition their wares for you.
I keep asking myself, "how did the word beaver become slang for critical lady parts?" I just cannot make sense of this.
^^^ that's a hilarious statement, and you're correct, but I'm still not getting this. I would never place the unit remotely close to anything capable of turning oak into mulch.
The real reason.... Back in the 1700's and 1800's women of ill repute would shave there nether regions to keep from getting, or to treat pubic lice. Also very young prepubescent hookers weren't all the rage as they are now. These said women of ill repute would wear merkins (AKA vagina wigs) so their customers wouldn't know of their crab affliction or there tender age. Those wigs were..... wait for it.... made of BEAVER fur. True story.... You are welcome.
