Needed to up the dose on my therapy for Lake Atlantic Syndrome (DSM-IV). Already had the 31" Taylor Knox that has changed my game over the last few months and given me hours of fun each day not to mention unreal workouts. Picked up the 36" Jason Adams Artist Series Pintail and the 30.75" Revert Koi (which was a demo model - good deal on it!). The Revert Koi has its back truck loosed up a bit and that TOTALLY changes the ride. Some would say it gets too skatey more than it already is but to me it is completely fine and really lets you rip on a smaller board. Compare it to the difference between the feel of a midlength vs. a HPSB. I don't feel it's too skatey at all for me and actually requires me to be very attentive to finding balance and technique for the right pivot. The 36" Pintail rips pave and makes and maintains mad speed. Should be even better for my downhills which I like but have had to keep at a lower grade than on a regular skate. These sticks sure help the stoke. Now I've got 3 in the quiver so any brahs who can skate that come by the crib can go rip pave with me and they won't have to be kicking asphalt on their skate while I'm just pumping on my Carver.
these boards are seriously game changing. the progress from ripping up the Carver 31" Resin the past few months has been monumental plus you're the baddest ass mother****er riding the bowl on those skatey things at any park
Carvers are sick but 3? That's some overkill right there. If they all have the C7 trucks then why didn't you just get different sized decks to change the wheelbase and turning radius? Having 3 completes is pretty unnecessary. If you wanted to change the way your first one skated you could just have adjusted the trucks and tried a different wheelbase, but to it's their own...to it's their own.
I appreciate the fiscal concern for me but I'll retain full executive control of my wallet, thanks. Part of the reason I'm single is so I don't have to hear such things...from a woman...who's doing things like cooking and cleaning and rogering. I got the latest two on steep discount cheaper than I would've got both Carver trucks and viable decks. As said, I want multiple boards for friends to ride with me and to mix it up for myself. I just got a 37 pintail with s10 original trucks and orangutang wheels. This board is sick rides just like a surfboard and some flex.
I'm not skateboard connoisseur but the C2 truck in the rear may be proprietary to some level. Skate construction doesn't seem to be the most complex and I enjoy being mechanical, I just don't have any time right now to research the inner workings of custom board construction and I fully trust and believe in the Carver products. I'd imagine you can get pretty creative and customized with these things. As for price point, everything's a negotiation brah! They made out ok and so did I. Stoked to be on these things. It's amusing to note that I ate an incredible amount of schitt yesterday and last night on my rides as both boards are new enough in either their length or rear truck tension from my Knox Carver to require at least some adaptation of muscle memory/motor learning. I am pretty good at falling from all sports and so many botched surf rides, but I seem to always land straight on my hip and right palm. Got a golf ball on my hip today and palm looks like roast beef!! Do it for the stories.
Sick braddah! What brand is that? Anything that rides like surf is something I want to learn about and try. Not too into skating per se.
Carver resin over here... been riding it since December and beside the loads of fun on pavement; it has really made me better in the water. I wish I had 3... keep on shredding Emass EDIT: Tis the season for acorns... WATCH OUT
I recently purchased the Taylor Knox. I've been having my dog simulate some tow in action. That 65 lb. ball of muscle can generate some serious speed. A solid investment.
