I surf in margate new jersey every summer. The waves are always 2-3 and semi choppy. Does anyone no of a surf spot that produces 3-5+ waves in the summer? Help would be appreciated.
waves just don't become 3-5 feet..ive surfed margate when its been 4-6 easy...your best option is to go to ocean city when you come around for the summer or start tracking some swell cause most of the time in summer here the waves don't get over 4 foot
Just be sure you can handle the 23 footers. In all seriousness, it's pretty rare for any spot on the east coast to get good head-high conditions during the summer. I'm sure there are many who will quickly correct me on this.
I wish Margate was 2-3' today. Ventnor Pier, just north of you, gets 23 foot once a month....on the 8th of each month. Cambridge Ave, Ventnor. Do NOT try and shot-the-pier. The Ventnor Pier ain't Honneyton Beach, CA Dude, get out of bed earlier during the summer. You can catch it glassy before 10:00 am maybe 11:00 am. Like go out at 8:00 am. But yeah, 7th St and Waverly in Ocean City are alway 3-4' each summer day. So it's close to 5 foot. Those places are the surfing beaches in the Downtown/Northend area. They kick-arse. Some of them dudes are friggin pros and deserve your respect. CSKI, are you from South Philly? Lot's of goombahs have summer homes in Margate. Just wondering. Hey don't get upset aboot anyone on here. Don't take us seriously. We're all deranged. Well, except for MIS-13.

Depends on the rare storm, the angle of the swell, beach, wind etc. In South Jerz during the summer, good luck. I hear Camel back beach is pumpin ALL the time. Tell your friends!
I actually only surf the ventnor pier. I went out at 7:00 in the morning several times and had some great days. The pier is always packed tho. I have probably surfed with you b4
