The boxy ones. Grand Cherokees are moms cars. Liberties are moms cars. Commanders are ***s cars. Patriots are worse than Commanders. Compass is a 2wd jeep? What the ****?

And Jeep also dropped the 4.0L engine a few years ago... now its a 3.7L V6 for better gas mileage, as well as less power.

That SRT8 also puts out about 60 more hp than a 911GT3. ... Seriously who needs a Jeep with 465hp and only a ground clearance of 4"...

This is my ride: 04 gt, cobra r bumper, h&r springs, k&n Cai, Slp header back loudmouth exhaust system. No major mods to the motor as of yet, but I am going to get a programmer in the near future.

With the rear seats folded down I put two boards inside up to 8 feet long...just no passengers though.

The old XJ Cherokees were f-ing awesome. So much you can do to them to make 'em badass offroad rigs. I have an 05 Unlimited Wrangler extended bed before they added the extra "Yuppie" doors. Gotta agree there's no way that an XJ (Cherokee) is more "YUPPIE" than a 4 door Wrangler. I see more soccer moms driving the new 4 door Wranglers now that they have enough doors to get the kids in. The new Cherokees are nice too, but in no way replace the old XJs. They were cheap and had everything you needed without the fluff. I love my TJ Unlimited. Perfect for carrying surfboards with the extra foot of length. Still a classic Jeep with the extra room like the Scramblers. It's a damn shame they killed the 2 door extended bed for the 4 door. There's no need for 4 doors on a Wrangler unless you're a yuppie soccer mom, but the extended bed is key... especially for surfboards.

i have a 1998 ML 320 mercedes that used to be my dads. I can fit 3 boards and three people inside comfortably, but i have done 5 people inside two boards inside, and three boards on the roof. What sux with a car that big is the gas mileage. Im wasting all my money from my summer job on gas.

10-11s around considering its just a 4cyl car... can't really get much more than 150-160 tops out of it. These are just estimates. I might be completely off. But a car that light, with 325-350whp just moves. Oh and it handles amazing too...

I also forgot to mention that the ECU chip MUST be tuned with that. A larger turbo and BOV will cause the air metering system to be off, and also limit the amount of power that is put out.

On a side note, anyone seen those BMW 335Xi?

Stock puts out about 330whp, but by just tuning the ECU chip, the engine is capable of putting close to 500whp.

Since you're so into turbo cars. What do you think of the K04 step up from K03 for VW GTIs?

Yup that 335xi is a beast but it's going to cost alot of dough to get it up 500 hp while the audi s5 and the new skyline are just a chip away from those stats

Some of us on this site should get together to show off the cars........ englishtown anyone?

HAHA I hear you with that. Those pans suck a lot when they're not dropped. I can only imagine yours. Do you even bother with the splash guard anymore?

VW's are harder to put big turbos on than the japanese stuff so the small turbos like you mentioned are easy to install upgrades and they work OK, but its not gonna be fast, although it is a little peppier. i personally wouldnt go thru the effort, but its up to you!

to keep this a surfing comparison - think of a k03 as ankle high a k04 knee high. a garrett 28RS chest high.. a gt30R is head high, gt35R overhead, gt40R double overhead ...

btw where do you live? i think i pass a vw with FMIC pretty often on my way back from surfing seagirt

if you want to leave it stock, those are all decent cars, but if you want to modify it
-the 335i, trans cant take any power, good luck making power beyond just a chip
-the s5 electronics are a nightmare, good luck making power beyond just a chip
-the r35 gtr has some potential, but not for a cpl years at least until the electronics catch up. then there is not much room for big turbos bc its a v6
-the 08+ STI has potential upon potential, and I can fit my dog and my board in there. Im selling one of my skylines to get one...

i am at englishtown too much

Those first three are sick. I'm jealous. Looks like you do some serious work at your shop. I used to be obsessed with imports, had a 95 civic that I worked my ass off to hook up. I dogged that thing everyday. Raced it alot, mostly really sketchy backroad stuff w/ my boys around Baltimore. Northern Parkway late night races in the city. I racked up over 20 points in 2 years (mostly racing, one mistaken case of "fleeing from the police"... outran a copcar on a back road for about 15 min. then was stopped at a light when he pulled up on me. He thought I was running from him, but really I never knew he was behind me. Took my liscense after that and I haven't driven in 7 years. I do miss it, but have adapted to skating and riding a bike so well that I don't even bother. I'm a maniac driver and if I have a car, I'm gonna drive it.

These days my current project is a '79 german made moped (sachs) that I'm searching for parts for and rebuilding. Pretty cool old piece, made by the oldest motorcycle company so I've been told.

Do you ever install superchargers or only turbos? Ive been thinking about putting some type of forced induction on my mustang. Im very tempted at the added power, but I dont want to make my car unreliable. And really I like taking turns @ high speeds, so I think Ill just keep upgrading my suspension components.

Im thinking about getting a set of bilstein shocks and struts, or something similar like something from Tokiko.

Also I plan on getting some cross drilled or slotted disk brakes, its nice to go fast but we need to stop sooner or later, and I prefer sooner. ;)
