Exactly PB&J. There are a handful of sites that give the scouting report on nearly every break and the conditions at which it lines up. Even when you have that "answer key" you're still holding it up to ever-changing models and charts that are 7% reliable on good days. We can know all the reputed breaks around New England but it's a crapshott if any break will be good even if the report says so in advance. We've all been skunked enough times when we thought we had it all figured out.

There's really only 2 a-hole moves when it comes to break discretion:
    1) Getting to a spot, well-known or otherwise, seeing that it's cranking clean and hitting your mass texts and Internet forums to let the world know: P***T ***IT* IS GOING OFF! GET HERE!
    2) Taking one of the world's few, few breaks that are still relatively unknown (thanks Lougle Erph) and formally announcing them to the public by the same channels.

Any other restatement of what is already known to be the truth about well-traveled breaks is no more of a tragedy/news flash than announcing to the same channels: TRY THE CHEESE STEAK AT CHICKY & PETE'S

I'm the one naming breaks sorry :) How about First Beach Newport for an official "kook" break that you can tell anyone about without feeling bad?

But, I only name the ones that would come up in 2 seconds if you googled "massachusetts surf breaks" / ones that are friggin HUGE (Good Harbor you've got like, half a mile of beach break or something? Plus there are other breaks there besides the beach break ). Well, and the one that is in the shadow of the scenic Deer Island sewage treatment facility...

The deer island break you have to not only take tide, wind, and swell into effect, you also have to time your rides with people in Boston flushing their toilets...

Mystic, CT was octogle overhead this morning with barrels big enough to fit an 18 Wheeler. I only had my fish with me but since its 2 and 3/8 thick I wasn't really too much undergunned. Warm air, too.

Can't PM you. You have too much garbage blocking messages from landing. I hate when peoples voicemail box is full.

On the way to the break now with a souls banned SI member. Not to MA. But...just to let you know, Winthrop really is firing today says one decent surf forecast site. Not kidding. This is the one day of the year it doesn't blow goats. The next 364 days it will go back to terrible and full of contrails.

Keep up the break blow ups brah and I'll Fitzpedo the latex outta you.
