What do you guys do if you want to do multiple sessions (like, sunrise then sunset) the same day and it's winter/cold and there's not time to dry off your wetsuit between sessions?

Put it in a plastic bag and attach the bag over one of your truck's heater vents so at least it is wet-and-warm instead of wet-and-cold when you put it on?

Just dry it as much/as quickly as you can?

BTW I didn't even TRY searching for the other 9123849182394819234 threads asking this same question... how many? how many f***s do you think I give??? :)

how many hours between sessions? maybe letting the cold dry wind whisk some moisture away hanging it off your car while you wait...and then warm it up by the heater.
I personally loved having 2 wetties fo this very reason. I am not rich, I just like to surf and would adjust my budget accordingly...'hey hon got another wetsuit'...'ok cooool, Ramen for the next few weeks?'

Good call for sure, MIS, but most of us don't have two of each suit. If you can use a 4/3 one day and the 5/4, etc. the next, that always works well. I'm gonna pull that move today and tomorrow since today the air is warm enough to do so. Outside of that, I'd always try to warm the suit as much as possible. Warm air dries it out way faster than cool, dry air, and it feels really nice on your silky skin.

It's just like ski boots...if you leave them in the car overnight and put them on cold your feet will be frozen all day. Gotta warm 'em up first.

If your going home between sessions hang inside out in front of a dehumidifier (real close to it almost touching) on max with a fan blowing on it as well this method will make the inside lineing of your suit dry in about 5 hours even shorter if you watch it a rotate the suit so the fan is always focusimg on a wetter spot. If you have an infrared heater those work great too just don't put it to close atleast 5 feet away

The inside layer of the ripcurl flash bomb dries (hanging) in like an hour. They're nice suits just a bit pricy.

You remind yourself that you're a man and you step back into the cold, damp wetty and get on with it. Your body will heat it up in no time and there are far less privileged things to be doing than hitting the break for your second sesh of the day when most don't get a first.

There's no search function for this. It's under the common sense you're a man category. Think about it - there are poor people in China, stupid people in Biloxi, overtanned people in Jersey, and wave-hungry people in Mass. Your life could be worse if you're charging twice in a day, or even a week.

SI admin brah really needs to issue infractions for any future thread pertaining to the possession, procurement, repair, resale, and usage of a wetty.

Oh and if ya really need to warm it up, hold it open and just piss all over the inside and get your surf buddies, people on the beach with their dogs and any homless dude you can find to help you too, that will warm it up right quick.

Keep it in the car and forget about it until 40 seconds before you put it back on. Curse everyone when realizing its frozen, curse everyone when you cant find baggies to slip over you feet, freeze to death in the 15 minutes it takes you wrestle it up to your waist. after this struggle takes places its only a couple of minutes until your warm again. Live in the moment brahhhhhh

Id never buy this, but it was given to me as a gift and works real good. Google hangair, it's basically a big thick hanger with a built in fan. Dries the suit up real fast, real good for surfing in the winter

How about getting a 12 volt hair dryer and use it to warm up your wetty, wouldn't take to long to make it nice and toasty, and they are not that expensive....man, I'm glad I live in Fl.... just my 2 cents

I just deal with it. Try not to leave it in your truck all day- in the cold- at least bring it inside.

Surprisingly enough, I don't think that it's all the heat of the dryer that will damage your suit. The rotating drum can sand down a lot of neoprene if a piece gets caught, and because it's sticky neoprene that's fairly likely to happen.

Just have your girlfriend put in on first. She'll have to keep it on, to keep it warm, until you're ready to surf.

Its ok to use moderate heat to dry it, like a warm house etc.... but don't use direct hot air on your suit it will ruin it. Also believe it or not, hot water will ruin your wetsuit, as will the sun, uv rays.

Before you leave the house put some hot water in a large cooler and keep it in the car. When you are done with your suit or in between sessions throw your suit in the cooler with the hot water. By then the water will be luke warm so it won't damage your suit. If its not real cold out you can also put your suit in a black garbage bag and put it in the sun. I've been doing the cooler thing since we were kids and it works pretty well however no matter what its a bizatch putting on a wet wetsuit!

if u guys can squeeze in 2 seshs a day,go buy another suit since ur surfing that much.if not bring a shytload of gallon size water bottles full of hot water and poor it down your suit.i didn't get to surf yesterday and im pretty bummed out since it was somewhat epic, but the ocean doesn't pay the bills.i think someone threw away my booties so I got to order some new ones, and damn they are expensive.70$ for some billabong or oneill 6mm booties, wtf?i found some booties by some diving company,7mm for 30$ so im going to buy that.i saw a quicksilver hooded vest for like 60$,and I check the temp rating and it said 70degrees and up.who the phuk wheres a hood in 70degree water?we usually get a few epic swells in December so I need to get my gear ready.last year at my spot there were maybe 6-10 people in the water all winter long.i went yesterday and there was atleast 60 people spread out around the jetties.so now I have to venture further south for empty waves.

economics of having two winter wetsuits

The argument to my wife for having two winter wetsuits is each one then lasts twice as long so it really doesn't cost any more to have two. Wear is primarily determined by how many times you wear something, not how long you own it. So I always have a dry suit to put on for the afternoon session. Works for me. This logic also works for surfboards and lots of other things. And, of course, I only ride waves and paddle a surf kayak daily to stay in shape so I live longer, don't get fat and to save money on a health club.
