http://www.vanstriplecrownofsurfing.com/billabongpipemasters2013 Starts up tomorrow, Dec 8th with a nice swell on tap. http://www.surfline.com/surf-scienc...--surfline-forecast---forecaster-blog_104666/ Mick vs Kelly? For Kelly to take a 12th title he'll need to win Pipe and have Mick finish 5th or worse. Nothing against Mick - he's deserving of a title this year - but it would be an incredible showing if Kelly won Pipe. It would also be cool to see JJ, Bruce or Dane win it.
I'm stoked with the swell coming in. Looks like it will start out as a Pipe fest then switch over to more Backdoor by Tuesday--good variety.
yea this is gonna be pretty epic whos rooting for who? I kinda think seeing mick win a 3rd would be great, but the Aussies talk a lot of smack and are little big for their britches Last year my buddy saw Kelly walking down the beach and in his slurring drunk Aussie bro chatter (thanks CT for that phrase) shouted: 'OYE! C*nt! Pahh-ko's got yah numbah!' kinda funny
I'd like to see Mick go out early and Kelly win, to pull the come-from-behind miracle for his twelfth title, and then... QUIT, for gods sake! He needs to go off and have babies with his hot girlfriend, start the next phase of his life, surf businessman, philanthropist, whatever... but let's get some new blood at the top of the tour. Hell, if he knocks his girl up soon enough we might have the next Slater world Champion by the year 2030!!
Is anyone else's feed constantly freezing/disconnecting. "Stream is temp off air"...etc..etc. Freaking pi$$ing me off!!
eff kelly. he rips and all and i have mad respect for the dude but he's won this sheet enough i wanna see some new faces take the title. Mick all the way.
I think the tour is better with KS... If you want to be the champ you have to beat the champ. It would be different if he was slipping and it was hard to watch. He still dominates and has stepped up his air game to keep up with the young bucks. I do agree that it's cool to see other guys win, but it's cool to heave them beat Slater... I'd love to see KS vs. JJF in the final at Pipe with the world title on the line.
