(SPOILER ALERT) Mick gets the score, knocks Yades off tour... Judging criteria

Ok, so Mick just took the title with a similar bomb that won him his heat against CJ. While the wave was definitely a sick one, was it better than Yadin's 9? One of the judges was in the booth being interviewed during the contest, and he said that it was the bottom turn that ultimately made Mick's wave better than Yadin's. I live in New Jersey, and while I can never compare our waves to pipe, when I'm surfing a wave of consequence (with a barrel section lining up) I would much rather have a roll-in drop and bottom turn to set my line, rather than a super long runner where I'm dropping in on rail and holding on for my life. I'm sure there's going to be Mick vs Kelly fans. Being pretty neutral on the world title race, I'm just talking about these 2 waves in Mick & Yadins. Do you think that Mick's wave was sicker than Yadin's? What do you think is more critical? Dropping to the bottom, and setting your line to get deep? Or, dropping on an angle on rail and having the wave put you deep from the beginning?
