welcome to the outer banks. the locals were out that day. the real locals. those "perfect conditions" days attract the out of towners from virginia beach and beyond.
I'm not sure if the bridge is open for the holidays or not....so maybe that's why? I live a little south of the OBX and I'm fixing to paddle out if that makes you feel better.
